Two Rivers Bookstore — Local services in Portland

I love this local bookshop, and it’s become my go-to when buying new books. While their storefront may be on the smaller end, their in-stock books are well-curated across many genres and they have always been able to special-order me any titles in an extremely timely fashion at no additional cost. Had a good experience with the clerk figuring out the book I wanted based on a vague description, but it wasn't in stock. They ordered it for me, I was required to prepay, they promised it would be in by Christmas eve for pick up at the shop. I called today before going to pick up, they had sold the book to someone else. As apology, they offered to call a bookstore in a busy shopping district to get one if I was willing to drive across town to pick it up. Poor customer service in fixing...

Great local shop. They bring in an excellent selection of local authors (neighborhood authors, not just Portland at large). They have contemporary books in all genres and are happy to do special orders Beyond books they share the space with a localy owned knitting shop, host fun events throughout the week, and sell a rotating selection of localy made crafts...
