This review is long overdue. It will be almost a year already since the wonderful people at 5 Thai ever-so graciously drove more than an hour to our home to hand deliver the most beautiful and artistically displayed array of food from their fine establishment. Our plans to marry out of state were quickly de-railed when I was rear-ended by a boy (I was his fifth accident!!) who was texting and driving a month before we were supposed to leave for our wedding destination. That accident cost us our trip, all of our plans, the holidays and me months and months of recovery. Feeling blessed to be alive, I was happy to have a small gathering and marry at home where it was quiet and I could handle a small group. We decided it would be nice to order from 5 Thai as I was not at all well enough to cook for more than us. They knew us from being patrons and were always happy to see them so it’s why they were our first thought for take-out. My husband called to place an order for our usual favorites but this time, ordered more than usual. It was then we were asked if this was for something special. We said “yes” and Niki (forgive the misspelling!) who worked there at the time said it would be better to have it delivered as it would be so much better. I could not believe they offered this to us. I went on to say that we lived more than an hour away but that was not enough to deter the delivery of this delicious food. I was so gracious and thanked them profusely. It was New Year’s eve morning. The kind crew from 5 Thai arrived with what we expected to be the nice take-out containers in easy-to-reheat portions. It was so far from that. They delivered works of art in displays of hand-carved vegetables layered in and amongst the Pad Thai and other menu items we ordered. We were BLOWN AWAY at the beauty and intricacy of how they painstakingly created these platters. I had no idea that they did anything like this. To this day, I will always hold dear their kindness and willingness to help us pull our day together with such a spectacular display of their craft. They truly are special people. Kuhn always gives me my favorite tea when I come in. He’s so kind and is always happy to see us. It’s truly a special place with some very special people. I wish I could upload some photos of the trays. They were gorgeous. Thank you 5 Thai Bistro for your outstanding talent and professionalism. We just love you!! I’m sorry this took so long. It took me time to heal be able to gather my thoughts.

A co-worker recommended this place a while ago. Stopped in on a Thursday night. Was seated quickly, staff was cheerful and very helpful. The ambiance was worth writing home about. Got the scallion pancakes and crunchy spring rolls as an app. I didn't know those two things could be better than my normal "best" places to get those dishes. I am not kidding when I say this was a new top of the list for both dishes. Ended up getting the tofu drunken noodle and it was excellent. Came out hot and with an appropriate amount of spice. The shrimp crispy noodles were also excellent. This place gets a 5-stars from me, and judging by the amount of traffic and orders flying out the door... Many other folks give it a 5-star. Enjoy your trip here, and the meal.

We were supposed to go somewhere else but we finally managed to find a park outside this place and said what the heck....LOL Nice atmosphere and we're surprised. Extremely friendly and clean. Appetizers: Crispy baskets were very interesting for something different. They were delicious. Slight curry flavor in the go round chicken served in tiny crispy basket bites with a cucumber sweet sauce. Deluxe pad Thai was very good and fresh. Could use a little more flavor but very good. Pad See Ewe was also very good. Everything was great up until paying the check. I guess they didn't want us to leave. Was hard to find anyone to pay no staff in restaurant. Was a little pricey around $16 per main course but I shall go back and try the duck soup.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. We went to have a meal around 4 pm last Saturday with my toddler and husband. First of all, we were given two person seats. We were able to put our travel stroller away. I ordered a mai thai as a drink and it had too much alcohol. No big deal. My husband ordered some sweet pork and it was great. My food was good but i should have ordered something different. The waitress told us that someone gave my daughter a bad look and that we should keep her quiet. I think she caught us off guard and we both told our daughter to be quiet. She is almost two. She turns two tomorrow. She wasn't yelling, she wasn't crying. She was just playing with her lips and making sounds. I gave her, her tablet and that was it. I am writing this review because I regret not having say anything about how wrong that was. I am a mother and I can't let this go. This was very wrong. So, someone looked bad at my daughter and I have to quiet her down eventhough she is not crying or yelling?? It wasn't rush hour either. It was 4 pm. I have apologized to my daughter for not speaking on her behalf. This is unacceptable to me and WE ARE NOT COMING BACK. I DO NOT recommend this place for people with CHILDREN. This place is not cheap either. I also felt very rush and that the attendants were hovering over us to get us out. Today is the Monday after and I am...

We came in for a later dinner and had a wonderful time. We were seated immediately and our waitress paced everything perfectly. I do wish the cocktail menu was a little more expansive because I like lots of options, but since the 4 different drinks we ordered were all good and the rest of our experience was so great I don’t want to dock the rating just because of this one thing. We got the chicken/peanut dumplings and hot/sour soup to start and quite enjoyed both. The dumplings were some of the most tender I’ve ever had, though my fiancé wished there was a little more chicken and less peanut in them. The soup was very fresh and warming. For meals we got the Deluxe Pad Thai and Curry Duck. Both were excellent. If I had to critique anything it’s that it would have been nice to have a little more of the proteins in the noodle dish…but the flavor was otherwise great. I was very pleasantly surprised with the curry duck and would strongly recommend getting this in particular if you come for dinner. The duck was super tender and the flavors were amazing. The whole feel of the restaurant was simultaneously upscale and modern but not uncomfortably formal. Overall we can confidently recommend this restaurant to others looking for some of the best Thai cuisine in the area and very much so enjoyed our...
