Twice now I have tried to purchase a couple small fish and twice have had to leave with a very sad little girl. If we were not trying to use the gift card my daughter received for her birthday (to adopt her own fish) I would be going elsewhere.
I have had fish for almost a decade, am experienced with caring for our tank and fish. I have yet to lose one to anything besides 'old age'. The first time we attempted to buy a couple inexpensive fish, I was told they wouldn't sell to me if my tank hasn't been set up and cycled for 48+ hours. As I have an established tank, I wasn't purchasing a new one and was told I would not be sold the fish. Last night, we again tried to purchase the two small fish - we knew exactly what we wanted, the tank was freshly cleaned and had been cycled etc for the past week - although the store was open, they would not sell the fish (less than $10 total) because it was after 7 pm and they have a policy about impulse buying fish! I explained I was not making an impulse buy, that we had this planned for weeks but was again told to leave.
Where does it say no fish sales after 7 pm? I could not find it posted in the store, near the fish, with the business hours, on the FB page, nor did anyone who worked their ever mention this policy ever and I have purchased fish several times. The employee who denied us originally even said to come back, they were open 9am to 8pm!
I realize Petco couldn't care less about my crying daughter, our time, gas...
Read moreThis Petco has the worst groomers! Becca turned my dog’s grooming experience into an ever changing obstacle course. I don’t know what I said or did that caused Becca to engage in petty behavior concerning me, because I’m perfectly polite and my dog is very well behaved and was always one of my prior groomer’s favorite because she was so good.
Becca found one reason or another to cancel my dog’s appointments, even after I had driven a half hour a couple of times for the appointments I had confirmed via texts. In one of the rare appointments Becca kept, she did a horrible job! An 8-year old could have done a better job. I had asked for a teddy bear cut, but when I picked up my dog, it was quite obvious Becca had no idea what a teddy bear cut is or her skills are so lacking that she’s unable to perform the cut. I suggest it must be the latter.
When I started making appointments with different groomers, Becca would call me and tell me that that particular groomer was out sick or no longer there. The groomer she once told me was no longer there was and is still listed as a groomer.
Okay, Becca. I’m done. You won. I’ll take my business elsewhere, which is apparently what you wanted me to do 5-6...
Read moreWe have taken our dogs to be groomed and nail trims here, for years. Today, as I tried to hand my 4 pound Chihuahua to the groomer, I was told no, she needs to be on the floor and walk through the little half door on her own. Never have I been told this. Some new policy that went into effect a year ago. We were just there 4 weeks ago. We have been many times this past year and never was I told this. Had I known, I would have prepared my dog, had her harness on, let her walk around the store a bit etc. She was not prepared, it was confusing and chaotic and literally scared the poop out of her. She refused to move and they refused to trim her nails. She is used to being held and handed off with no problems, why would they create this issue? The manager was on a power trip and just didn't seem to care what was best for the dog. Shouldn't that be your store motto? You've lost a long time customer and I'll be sure to make this known on...
