My recent visit was extremely disappointing from start to finish. First, the booth we were seated at was worn out, and you could feel the springs in the seat, making it uncomfortable.
I ordered the new stuffed chicken marsala, expecting a properly stuffed chicken breast, but what I received was two small chicken breasts sitting on top of stuffing, along with mashed potatoes. My first bite was unpleasant—it felt like I bit into a tendon. I tried to eat around it, cutting into different parts of the chicken, but the texture remained off. I eventually gave up on that piece and moved on to the second chicken breast, which was slightly better, but by then, I was already disappointed.
When the waitress checked on us, I let her know my dish was awful. She took it back and said she would speak to a manager. After quite a long wait, the manager finally came over and asked if I wanted something else. By that point, my husband had already finished his meal, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to wait even longer for another dish. The manager offered to let me take something to go, which I reluctantly agreed to, feeling embarrassed about the whole situation. I chose ravioli, figuring it would be a safe choice.
When we got the bill, I saw that the original dish was removed, but I was charged full price for the replacement ravioli. While I don’t mind paying for my food, I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before, and I know that a properly handled situation would have involved at least a discount, if not a full comp, for the replacement meal. Given the poor quality of the first dish and the inconvenience of waiting while my husband finished his meal, it felt like the bare minimum was done to make things right.
I didn’t argue about it—I just paid the bill and left. But unfortunately, after this experience, my husband and...
Read moreThe Good: the food was great. Small portions for what you pay but otherwise it tasted good and the service was pretty amazing! Our waitress was Ashleigh and she deserves 5 stars and a high five. The manager was fantastic and very welcoming.
The Bad: we were from out of town. Phoenix never got that cold or snowed. We didn't expect special treatment because of it but you could obviously tell we weren't used to the snowy weather. They decided to seat us so close to the fireplace that we had to take turns moving seats because we were so hot. Everyone else was at least 6-10 feet from it. We were maybe a foot away from it. We weren't able to move our table over because it would have been in the way of traffic.
The Ugly: My husband should have been able to take our baby to the men's room to change his diaper. Instead he was told i would have to do it because there was only one in the women's bathroom. What would he have to do if it was just him and some guy friends with our baby?? I had to leave my meal, my husband was done eating, and take our child to the women's restroom to change him. I pulled the table down and it seemed unsteady so I was cautious when putting him on it. Once his full weight was on the table, it cracked and my baby started to slide to the edge. I was by myself and did not trust it. I let the front lobby person know and she gave me no solution. The other guy in the lobby was too invested in his phone to even care. Unfortunately, my husband and brother had to stand around us while I kneeled on the tile in the lobby to change my baby on a bench surrounded by strangers. It was a low and embarrassing moment to say the least.
Please invest in 2 new changing tables for the womens AND mens room! Lord knows you can afford it with how much you charge...
Read moreI went To Olive Garden for the first time ever for a dinner date with my wife last Monday. First impressions were great. Wonderful atmosphere, fancy establishment compared to our normal eating out locations and all around a very nice, clean place. I had such high hopes. We sit, we order, we chat. Out comes our soup, bread sticks and my beer. Cheese on that? Hell yeah! No one asks if you want free cheese anywhere else we've been. Amazing soup, great bread sticks, you can put good cheese on anything and I'd consider trying it, beer is beer. Out comes the main dish and a second beer. Like many other reviewers we were already getting pretty full but wow did that Crispy Chicken Alfredo look and smell fantastic! So I ate about a third and it did not disappoint... that night. Tuesday however started very differently. You know where this is going. Here we are on Saturday 5 days later and I've lost 12 pounds out of any end things could escape. Pressure washers often have less force. By the second day I could have cleaned a driveway as there was nothing left but the water I kept forcing down. I apologize for the graphics but I'm a little butt hurt to say the least and have never been so sick from anything. I'd take COVID again over this and that was no cake walk. I've had food poisoning three times in my life now and this experience has changed my outlook on the appearance of a fancy place forever. I'll take a random food truck or a stranger selling tamales in the parking lot any day. $72 later I regret talking my wife out of Subway for, "something new we don't have near us." Listen to your wives! Unless of course they suggest the Crispy Salmonella Alfredo from Olive Garden. Lesson learned. Oh and she had a different main dish, enjoyed it...
