I spent an hour working up a quote with Kirsten on a complex framing project. At the end, I agree to the price and we arrange a meeting a few days later for me to bring in the art and finalize. A day before that date, I get an email from the owner, Jim Lee, as follows: "I am the owner of Image Arts, the framing store you visited on Saturday. After discussing your requirements with Kirstin, we regret that we will not be able to accommodate your project." This is really weird. Read moreI'm afraid our encounter with Image Arts was a disaster. The wire for the picture they framed (at substantial expense) broke after about two months. This meant not only a pile of glass in our living room and a cut hand (endless particles of glass). Above all, this meant a damaged--and invaluable picture. While they agreed to fix the frame (and in the process changed the wire height meaning we had to rehang it from scratch) they offered nothing for the damaged picture which was entirely their fault. We're now out an invaluable picture in addition to the headaches. I've never had a frame fall from the wall before--much less one so expensive--but that's what I got...
