I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Mi Espana" for a family dinner on Father's Day, and it was an unforgettable experience. This hidden gem, which we discovered through Google, exceeded all our expectations.

We started with the empanadas, and they were nothing short of spectacular. Each empanada was perfectly crafted, offering a gourmet experience that delighted our taste buds. The pastry was golden and flaky, encasing a flavorful filling that was both savory and satisfying. The accompanying sauce was a perfect match, adding just the right amount of spice to elevate the dish without overpowering it.

My fiancé and I had the best time here at Mi EspaÑa. I’m all about the vibe and my fiancé is all about the food , Chef Jose and his team easily checked all the boxes for us! The space is intimate and homey, I feel like we are at a family establishment abroad which is so special to us during the time of covid. We got the oxtail and the paella for two special- the oxtails were flavorful and tender and the potatoes were crispy and perfectly cooked. The paella was prepared fresh and packed with seafood, I suggest letting it sit a bit before you dig in to get the “crispy rice” at the bottom of the pan. The service is second to none , the team is friendly and attentive. Pro tips: brownie points if you can chat with the table next to you , it really adds in a “community” atmosphere that I love here...

This menu is updated as of July 5, 2025. I personally think paella are the best highlight of this restaurant. Anywhere you can pick a Spanish restaurant in the world, it probably feels and looks the same. But MI Espana, using the advantage of the abundance of the US, created a paella with so much seafood and meat. It certainly deserves a 5. The atmosphere is alright. it feels like seating are curb side feel. Tapas are below average, worse than the ones in Spain. The tomatoes, see the color? Used cheap tomatoes. They could have used high ended tomatoes. Meatballs, one would start to think who is better, IKEA meatballs or this one? The combine score should be lower than 4. However, the paella is like octane booster pushing up the grading to 4.3 to 4.5. It still deserves a MUST...
