Princeton Pizza Star — Restaurant in Princeton

Won’t spend another red cent here. Firstly, I was greeted with attitude. Secondly, why place my card back on the counter when I placed it in your hand? third, the people at the counter assumed that I wanted my food to go and did not ask if I wanted to stay or go. This may seem small but “others” aren’t treated this way. People are so used to being dismissive and nasty to certain folks —they will DEFEND their behavior rather than to treat everyone the same as all paying customers. You really have to check your heart. The reason why you will not prosper in life is because you have heart/mind issues.

For those of another shade who might think I’m being “sensitive” or menstrual— when you handle your daily endeavors, observe the way that you’re treated as a customer and then refer back to this post. Hopefully if you’re not blind you will see what I’m talking about. I hate that I even had to waste time to think about this and type it smh.

Literally say “hello”, ask for the order, take the money and give back the change or the card how it was received and ask “for here or to go”.. simple tasks— it’s not an...

Why do I give Pizza Star 5... The dishes are consistently generous in quantity & quality ingredients, all very well prepared. Their salads are superb, spilling over the bowl when you order them, mixed with olive oil, herbs, balsamic vinegar [no ready-made dressings here], roasted peppers - they are perfect. The bruschetta is made so fresh, it's mouth-watering good. Imported drinks from Italy - lots of San Pilegrino products in the cooler. Décor is pleasant & the establishment kept clean considering how busy it gets. Also, I like the proprietor. "Nino" has been there each time I go (a dozen + times now); he is genuinely kind & extroverted, but most important- he's an excellent cook and uncompromising on fresh ingredients. I recommend the tomato pie pizza, ricotta pesto, and any of his smaller 'specialty' pizzas. I had one with eggplant that was scrumptious [called "rustico"], then another loaded with spring-mix salad, gorgonzola (sp?) & cherry tomatoes that was my fav so far [but I forgot the name]. I ordered take out, when I got home I noticed I was given the wrong order. I called them and they said they also noticed their error and they would not honor a refund until I brought it back since it was another customer's order and they were on their way to get it. So I drove 10 mins back, gave it back and recieved my refund. Moments later they handed the food that I had originally in my possession to the other customer. I was a bit baffled that they did not just make a brand new pizza and just discard the one that I had. (I attached a picture of the return with the broken seal to this review.)

My rating is based on the fact that this absurdity occured and I'm sure that this is not a proper health & safety protocol for food establishments. Also, they were a bit rude during this whole situation like I was inconveniencing THEM rather than them being apologetic for being given the wrong order. I personally would not like if my food went with someone else's home, brought back, then given to me.
