Once you believe in Jesus, The Son of God, Christ, who promises eternal life, you're saved forever, Once Saved Always Saved! Salvation can NEVER be lost! Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day!
One big problem is this DC3 Church teaches the false ''repent of your sins to be saved'' false gospel of works based salvation. Exodus 32:14/Acts 19:4 refutes the false gospel of ''repent of your sins to be saved'' false gospel.
Acts 19:4-Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of REPENTANCE, SAYING unto the people, that they should BELIEVE ON HIM which should come after him, that is, ON CHRIST JESUS.
Notice, Acts 19:4 defines the message of repentance John the Baptist preached in passages like Matthew 3:2, Mark 1:4, Luke 3:3, John 1, Acts 13:24 which says ''BELIEVE ON HIM ON CHRIST JESUS''. There's 0 mention of ''turning from sins to be saved'' becuase that's works salvation and it shows repentance does not mean turning from sins. Also look at Exodus 32:14!
Exodus 32:14-And the LORD REPENTED of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
So we see God Repented in the bible. Repentance does NOT mean ''turning from sins'', ''surrending'', ''changing your lifestyle'', NONE OF THAT!
The word repent means to change your mind.
So passages like Mark 1:15, Luke 13:3-5, Matthew 3:2, it's about belief on the Christ. 0 mention of ''turning from your sinful lifestyles to be saved'' in these verses that people twist out of context to teach the false ''repent of your sins to be saved'' false gospel.
Now, you might have your verses to throw at me (you might quote Jeremiah 8:6, Ezekiel 18:21-32, 1 Kings 8, Acts 8:22, Revelaton 2, 3, 9, 16 or you might even take me to passages like 2nd Chronicles 7:14, John 5:14, John 8:11 that don't even mention the word repent and yet you'll still think ''repent means to turn from sins to be saved''), but a lot of these verses are not even eternal life passages.
Matthew 7:21 and John 6:40 also connect together.
Matthew 7:21-Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the WILL OF MY FATHER which is in heaven.
John 6:40-And this is the WILL OF HIM that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and BELIEVETH ON HIM, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (We see it's just believe on Jesus and you're saved. (Once saved always saved).
Believe one time and you're saved even though you stopped believing, you're still saved. You can stop believing and be saved! Once Saved Always Saved!
And also, the ''repent of your sins to be saved'' false gospel is literally a law works based salvation according to Jonah 3:10. Not only that, the ''repent of your sins to be saved'' false gospel is a repackaged backloaded works based salvation.
For example, if you're saying ''I need to repent of my sins to be saved'', you're basically saying subtley that ''I need to follow the law, stop doing this, start doing this, stop sinning, turn from my sins to be savedd'', that's a false law based salvation!
Salvation is NOT by the law, salvation is NOT by works. This idea itself debunks the idea ''one must repent of their sins to be saved''. Such a false gospel that backloads works.
So I wouldn't recommend this church because they do sadly believe ''one must repent of their sins to be saved and believe in Jesus Christ'' which is adding works to salvation.
Anyone who is reading this, just one time belief in Jesus Christ, The Son of God, Christ, who promises eternal life, and you're saved forever, Once Saved Always Saved! Salvation can NEVER be lost! Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day!
Salvation is NOT by works! Salvation is NOT by ''surrendering''! Salvation is NOT by ''having a relationship with God''! Salvation is NOT by ''giving your life to Jesus''! Salvation is NOT by ''praying a prayer''. Salvation is NOT by ''commiting''. Salvation is NOT by ''repenting of your sins''! Salvation is NOT by ''obidence''! Salvation is NOT...
Read moreI have been wanting to attend service here at the recommendation of a member of the church. Today I went. The people are very welcoming and kind. I entered a very dim, large room with in upper level it had a concert feel. No windows, the only symbolism-is a cross to the right of a giant screen. first 15 min is a band, smoke and light show like a concert- At 8:45 in the morning they were good. The lady the lead singer prays in between songs And she is very emotional and her hands are up in the air and she saying how Jesus is now present here and she is really emotional over her message to the crowd I am not sure of who she is. She’s a singer with the band . Then Pastor Steve comes out. To deliver a message on Demystifyingwho the Holy Spirit is. I think the message was how the Holy Spirit is within us and the gift we have and how to use it? But the way he spoke so fast if anybody in there could keep up with him it was not me he was all over the place - He would start to tell a story of when he was younger then it would bounce to a reading from the Bible but then he would say I’m not gonna get into it look it up in your own Bible read more about it yourself the message was just so all over the place. I ended up leaving early with a headache . If you’re looking for a peaceful service, A place to reflect on your week, quiet prayer, really listen to the Reverend/preacher/pastor speak and taking those words and absorb them this is...
Read moreAmazing church, good people who operate it well respected in community, a lot of stuff offered, great a/v, get there in time to not need to park at the high school if your wearing nice stuff and sweat easily in Florida heat and humidity. A/c works very well inside so u will cool down quickly, but have wet shirt for a bit. But with high school next door and open can throw baseball/football, kick around soccer ball with kids after service. Would be a great church in a big city, but way above and beyond expectations for a small city like punta Gorda, and not even downtown PG area. I don't go to church often at all, and don't consider myself a Christian, but I live a short walk away and benn there 3 or 4 times over 3 years span and just moved back, so I will stop in again sometimes. Don't feel alienated as a non Christian there, and while they said would offer me guidance or answer any questions about Christianity if I wanted in a non service setting, they don't force Christ at u, just those searching or wanting to on their own. I go to feel closer to God or if I'm having trouble communicating with God, sometimes it helps to go around others who are doing...
