Habitat for Humanity — Local services in Punta Gorda

The staff were very nice, but "some managers" needs to grow a heart. I bought two twin box springs for my parents who live in an assisted living. When we tried to fit them onto their beds, the box springs were about 5 inches too long... NOT a twin size. These were purchased with their Social Security money and they are on a tight budget, thus buying from thrift shops. Since it was THEIR mistake, I called the next day to return them (we had to go buy new ones since they needed beds to sleep on that night). The district manager said NO... only store credit. I explained that they cannot shop and so store credit would be of no use to them. He would not allow a refund, so my 90+ year old parents are out $100 for items that were mis-sized by Habitat. SHAME ON THIS MANAGER!!!!! I have decided to contact the Florida main office/CEO. Should this be resolved... I will remove this negative review.

UPDATE: Upper management made it right... their mistake, so my parents were able to receive a refund. Sometimes, you need to go to the top... but at least it was resolved appropriately. They've won back...

Ready to make a large purchase after being told by no less than two employees that purchases were 30% off items priced over $25 storewide. Items were priced $149.99 each. Told by the employee at the register that my items would be 30% off. Another extremely rude woman that works there (I assume bad managment) came in and corrected her. Not the time to swoop in and kill the sale of donated goods, bad treatment of customers and poor business sense. Get communication in order with staff and price/mark items accordingly. Customers willing to make multiple hundred dollar purchases are not mind readers and rely on what they are told by staff. Word should be honored, rather than making good buyers feel like they have been treated poorly or that they have tried to pull something.

EVERY TIME I go into that store the old lady cashier with the smokers voice is extremely RUDE. Today was no different. She, and I’m assuming the manager (heavyset with short hair) LIED and said i threw curtains at her. Lmao. I TOSSED them on the counter. Prices are outrageous there, (prices aren’t marked and then they invent prices at the register. Shoes marked $3.99 on a sign and then told boots are $9.99, nothing on the sign mentions boots) and consistently RUDE staff. There are too many other places to shop to deal with...
