About a stellar Cook/Server named Taria
Five Guys is one of the only places my wife and I can take a break from cooking and go out to eat due to my wife’s allergies with dairy. Five Guys using Peanut Oil for everything ensures no butter is being used, especially no Seed Oils which is terrible for everyone. We cook our own food and nothing compares to this but it’s nice to take a break and eat those incredible Fries without having to clean up.
What made today’s visit especially epic was Taria. Taria, a kind, assertive and completely wonderful person made our day today because on her own fruition read the Diary Allergy for my wife’s order and called out our number right away. She did this because Taria knew that the bun had Dairy in it (we didn’t know) and wanted to know if we knew and if so did we still want the bun? Taria said, “I just want to make sure no one suffers from allergies if I can help it.”.
This was so amazing of her to look into, double check with us about the contents of something they didn’t make in house to ensure we didn’t suffer needlessly. All this with an incredible and patient demeanor. I was dumbfounded by this gesture as we’ve not so much have ever had anything but responses like, “well I’m pretty sure there might not be…” even in 5 star restaurants. This Dairy Allergy is like a Peanut Allergy for my wife and can’t be guessed about or risked with food.
I realize with the many allergies out there it makes what people know on staff concerning allergies nearly impossible and we understand this and understand it’s difficult to accommodate. It’s why we don’t eat out much at all but what Taria did for us, alerting us about dairy in the Burger Buns was just second to none. She is incredible and has no idea what that gesture did for us. We took the bun anyway because we’ve eaten here for years without it incident and had no idea why now that we learned from Taria there’s been dairy in them this entire time.
Taria, you’ll go far in life with that drive for excellence, customer care and we...
Read moreI'm appalled and absolutely shocked, on how the store manager along with her co worker treated my family last night!! We had just dropped my kids Mom off at the airport, and we're going to be away from her for a week for the very 1st time. On the way home decided to get a late night milkshake to brighten the mood. We walked in at 9:54pm, and there's 2 other customers inside. The manager looks at us and very loudly..says REALLY!! And gets very upset, and proceeds to yell at us, that she just cleaned the grill... and they just sold a $1,000 worth of food the last hour and wanted a break!!! I was a dumbfounded!! I told her I wasn't ordering a burger anyways, but she told me that we shouldn't walk in 5 min before closing, and asked me what I was thinking!! I told the lady at the register, that she probably shouldn't associate with how her coworker was acting... then she proceeded to tell me that she was the manager..& she was right, and that I had no business coming in 5 min before closing!! Wow I was just shocked this was even happening!! We've spent countless times after ballgames with friends, family meals, or just a quick treat. Finally as my 7 year old is crying, the cashier says FINE, WHAT DO YOU WANT! At that point I'm concerned with these 2 individuals to make my family anything. We will go out of our way to go to any other Burger joint from here on out. This use to be such a happy place to come to, and greeted with a smile and a welcome. Thanks 5 Guys for being the worst customer service experience of my 43 years on...
Read moreWent there for the first time, and was so disappointed. Paid almost $50. When we received our food we didn't get our large frys. So we thought maybe they were still in the fryer. So we waited 5 more mins. Then my husband went up to ask. They asked for our receipt. So we showed them. But I guess she messed up. Cause we asked for a mid and then we asked to see the sizes of the fryer. The mid was to small for our family so we asked for large size instead. So you can see were we thought we order fries. So when my husband asked the guy he said he got us.He never said we had to pay for them. So we waited about 15-20 min by then our food was all gone. I was very upset. This was my cheat date on my diet, and my first time coming here. So I went and waited inline to tell them myself. The lady I was talking to was really rude. I work in food service for a long time.No employees talks to there customers like that. She told me the girl that took my order was new and learning. And that I have to buy my fries that food isn't free. I told her well were done eating our food I don't want my fries no more. I left pissed and that I wasted $50. I could have ate at a nice restaurant, and if they messed up your order they would have treated us way better. I will be letting all my family and friends know what a big waste of money ...
