I recently took my daughter and my two grandsons to the Fat Cats in Queen Creek. First time at this location since moving to San Tan Valley. Weāve been to the Fat Catās in Mesa several times and held several birthday parties as well. We enjoyed our visit until the very end that ruined the whole experience. On our way out we stopped and got popcorn as requested from my grandson. The male employee at the counter was very pleasant. He overfilled the popcorn bag and handed it to me. We then proceeded to walk across to the prize counter. I was holding my 2 year old grandson in my left arm and holding the popcorn with my right hand. Every time he grabbed popcorn, some popcorn fell out into the floor. BIANCA, the employee at the price counter left and came back with a broom and dust pan who then proceeded to sweep up the spilt popcorn while slamming it into the dust pan. She never made any eye contact with me, said excuse me. She just proceeded sweeping up the popcorn slamming it into the dust pan to let me know she was annoyed while almost hitting my feet in the process had I not backed up. Before I left I let her know she was very rude! She stated āIām just doing my jobā. Without saying what she was rude for and her response being āIām just doing my jobā tells me she knew she was in the wrong. BIANCAāS attitude and lack of customer service skills or even friendliness totally ruined the entire experience. Fat Catās is supposed to be a FRIENDLY, fun, family bonding experience. But when you have rude employees working for you that lack customer service skills or a positive attitude like BIANCA, Iād rather travel to Fat Catās in Mesa where Iāve always had a great experience with the facility and all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEverything started out great in the beginning. They allowed us to get in the room right when we showed up to set up the party (which was more than 15 min till the party time). We had a lot of our own decorations so we appreciated that additional time. Our coordinator, Elise, was extremely helpful and sweet with the kids. However, within 30 min into our party time slot.. we encountered a big issue where not only we noticed it but our guest and the kids themselves noticedā¦.. our food is going to be delayed. We ordered a lot of food: two appetizers (chicken strips and ranch - which we never got the ranch so my husband had to go to the front and grab some - chips salsa and quac), four large pizzas plus one gluten free pizza. An hour in our party.. the kids were still waiting for the food and havenāt gotten to the arcades since we kept being told the food is almost done. We finally get the appetizers then 20 min later (50 min late) get the pizzas. But another issue.. they brought us six large pizzas and the gluten free pizza is still missing. We had two children just sit there while all the kids ate their pizza and they had to wait 20-30 min for us to get the gluten free pizza. The reason we only knocked them down two stars is because 1) Elise was working sooo hard to keep up with the kids and the issues and 2) the manager obviously credited us the two pizzas we didnāt order and gave us additional credits to the food we actually ordered but the biggest remedy was they extended our party for an additional hour even though they were pretty much back to back. Overall, our experience was not work the $500+ we spent and more than likely wonāt be booking a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had 2 parties with fat cats and the host can really make it break the experience. The first time which was a couple years ago the host was so engaging with the kids and planned everything out. This time our host heaven was really disappointing. We got there and from the jump she stood in the corner like she was frightened of us. I'm not sure if this was her first hosting party but it was really really bad and not at all what you pay for. The first half hour our guests just stood around waiting for pizza. I had to ask her to go get drinks. When the pizza came I had to tell her to hand out the pizza and I was continuously looking for her to ask for more drinks for the kids. It seemed like she was disappearing. The kids were done with pizza and I had to tell her to give the kids their cards so they could go play games. As our host she should be the one leading the party I shouldn't have to tell her how to do it. She gave me the cards and I had to write the kids names on them and hand them out myself. Then she said you need to be out of the room at 1. It was noon and the kids were just going to play games and so had do cupcakes and presents. At 1230 I rounded up the kids and then I had to hand out all of the cupcakes myself while she was no where to be found. She then showed someone else (a guest at the party) to swoop in and party for everything without consulting me, the person who booked and hosted the party. I didn't appreciate that. This is not what I pay fat cats a fortune to do, the party is supposed to come with a host that leads the party I was incredibly...
