Update Nov 2025. Yes, we’re repeat offenders. Back again for lunch. And we are too predictable. Once again my wife had the portobello mushroom burger and I had the Philly steak wrap. Still deeee-licious. Outstanding service. Good pricing.
Update Jan 10 2024. Stopped for lunch. I had the Philly Steak Pita with the house Mediterranean side salad and my wife had the Portobello mushroom burger. Exceptionally satisfying. Outstanding service. They do need to turn down the volume on the background music however. I mean, why so loud? People want to talk while they eat.
UPDATE MAR 25 2023. Stopped in for lunch. STILL a solid 5 stars. I had the turkey pesto wrap with side Greek salad and my wife had the Portobello burger smothered in a huge roasted red bell pepper. Our portions were HUGE and we had to take half home as we could not eat so much food in one sitting. Outstanding service. Great prices. Another great experience.
UPDATE APR 28 2022. Ordered take out. My wife had the wood-fired Norwegian Salmon served with garlic-herb smashed potatoes and wilted spinach and I had the Philly Steak pita prepared with savory roasted mushrooms, onions and bell pepper. Both items were a hit. I've seen other reviews on the salmon dish that weren't good but we are particular about food, especially seafood and this dish deserves 5 stars, as did my Philly steak pita. I'm an avid cook and when I noticed how heavy my steak pita was I tossed it onto my digital food scale and was pleased to see the weight at 13.2 ounces - almost a pound of really tasty food. And my beef was served with a touch of au jus, making it moist. When you think of a restaurant named Pita Jungle your mind is naturally taken in that direction - pita pockets with mostly veggies. Pita Jungle is so much more. There are food items for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan.
My wife has eaten here before. First time for me. Wow. Very impressed. The business name doesn't do it justice. They have a full bar and they also serve wood-fired pizza. We went for lunch at about 1:00 and the place was very busy. Unfortunately for the pizza restaurant right next door, not busy at all. I had the Mediterranean Tuna Pita Pocket and my wife had the Chicken Avocado Pita Tostada with Cauliflower Hummus. These bites are LARGE. The pockets are very thin so don't expect to be able to pick these up and eat like a sammy. You'll need a fork. Incredibly fresh, crispy and tasty. Excellent value for the small cost. Our server was friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately. We'll be going...
Read moreNice location, horrible service. I have been going to Pita Jungle for nearly 25 years, and this location is by far the worst out of all the locations in the state. Our waitress Daryl never brought us silverware, had to flag someone else down for silverware and plates, never refilled our water, and when our food came out (brought out by someone else) it was cold. We ordered the roasted cauliflower and tofu Tikka Masala, both cold to the touch! I never got to eat my food, because I did not wish to eat cold rice and tofu in curry, I also prefer it with their Sriracha, which is delicious! But unfortunately I never got to enjoy my dish nor their sauce, because our waitress never came to check on us until it was time for the bill. Also, when I told my waitress that the food was cold, she apologized, I told her it wasn't her fault, and instead of offering to make it right, she said she would get me a $4 discount??? That is not what I wanted, a $4 discount on a $18 dish that I did not get to eat (the dish was in front of me, full of food) is kind of insulting and did not remedy the issue. I would have preferred to get the dish remade so it was hot, but the best they could do was $4 off, apparently. Again, incredibly unprofessional. I then went up to the counter to pay as my mother wanted to split the check and did not want the waitress to walk off and disappear with our cards (which she did!) So I went to the counter, told a short haired woman in black that I would like to have the check split and pay there, and she literally turned me away and told me to go wait for my waitress to come back! Her response was so weird and unprofessional, I go to pay and you literally turn a paying customer away? I don't understand the treatment. Service is lacking and I cannot in good conscience recommend this location when this is how they treat paying customers. This was at 7:3 PM, there was at least 6 people serving food and the restaurant was not full, so I don't understand why the service was so neglectful. So, I paid my bill and I won't be back. I am legitimately upset and feel like I wasted my money at a place I always enjoy. I am wondering if this location is under new ownership or new management. It was not like this years ago. It is a pretty location with nice outdoor...
Read moreYou can never go wrong with Pita Jungle, but a locations customer service and training skills can be the pitfall of any restaurant. This location has poor customer service and needs to improve their training. Let alone their team handled our situation poorly. I would highly recommend the Val Vista location, but NOT this location. Here's why:
The server and bartender had no clue about their wine list. Even if you don't drink wine, there should be notes to share what certain wines are like. The sample was better and different (in taste and color) than the wine bottle brought out to us. Once we notified it was wrong, the server went to manager and bartender. The manager came out an apologized, but did nothing to help us or show sincerity. The server brought out two more samples, but when we pointed the one she called Sentra she seemed confused on which one was which. Once we received our glass, we noticed she must've forgotten which was what and got the wrong one thus again. We stayed quiet because it was already poorly managed and handled. I gave her my card which then the server knocked the glass onto my friend. Yet again, another poorly handled situation. She charged us in full for our wine and not even a note about being sorry. Customer service goes a long way and I will not step foot into this location again.
We ended up paying in full for our wine, not even an apology from her or from the manager. As someone who as worked in the restaurant and service industry, this was unacceptable service.
Pita Jungle Queen Creek, I would highly recommend giving your staff, especially servers, with better training in the customer service arena and familiarity with your menu. Just a little sincerity from your team or even a discount, would have been shown in my tip.
