I've come to this location a few times over the years, but never had service this poor. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food tasted good, but nothing else about this dining experience was.
My SIL was seated in the patio around 4.30 pm. We arrived about 15 minutes later. Our waitress (a young lady by the name of Sariah) brought our menus and said she'd be back to take our orders. About 10 minutes went by and we ordered our food and drinks (I got the Gorgonzola Cream Campanelle with an Old Fashioned, my boyfriend got the Lasagna with a Coors Light, my SIL got the Grilled Chicken Marsala with a white Sangria, and she also ordered a children Chicken Parmesean for my nephew - my nephew is very particular so she specifically ordered the chicken and pasta to be separated and requested marinara sauce with the noodles).
After a bit our drinks came. I took one sip of my Old Fashioned and was like ok this alright. Our food came out a little while later by a runner. My SIL noticed that she was given meat sauce instead of marinara for my nephew. I also noticed after a 2nd sip of my drink that my Old Fashioned was missing the italian cherries. We waited for our waitress to come back but she never did. Not to ask us how our food was, not to see if we needed refills on our beverages. Nothing. After my boyfriend finished his lasagna, I decided to go inside to look for our waitress.
She was punching in an order on the POS. Not sure how many tables she was taking or if she was both inside and on the patio, but leaving a table sitting for over 20 plus minutes and not briefly checking in, is completely unacceptable. I asked her to please come out as we needed things. She said ok. Another 10 minutes plus passed and she didn't come. I had to ask another server on the patio for help. As soon as that waitress began helping us, our waitress appeared. She took my old fashioned saying they would remake it. My SIL told her about the issue with my nephews pasta and she told her she'd have the kitchen remake it. Neither of us got our remakes within the next 15 minutes. By the time the waitress came out, both I and my SIL were done with our dishes. My nephews only saving grace was his Chicken parmesean. Luckily he ate that or he would've had no dinner at all (he's only 2 years old by the way).
By the time Sariah came back out we just wanted our checks so we could leave. We asked her to please not bring the remakes anymore, that we were leaving. She said she would tell management to remove those items and apologized on the kitchens behalf.
Not once did she ever apologize for never coming to check on us. Keeping us waiting. Making errors on our orders. AWFUL SERVICE. AWFUL WAITRESS. We even noticed the table behind us, who she was also serving, becoming very visibly angry, as they were waiting an extremely long period of time to receive their check.
I've worked in food service and hospitality for many years of my life and this was pretty bad. If you ever go to Brio at Victoria Gardens, steer clear of Sariah. She needs...
Read moreI used to come to Brio very often before they closed and reopened, and it used to be my favorite italian restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down, there are less benefits, and all the prices have gone up after the updates to the restaurant. I took my mom here since she had never tried Brio but I reccommend it since I used to enjoy it so much. My moms lasagna did still have a very big portion, but it was a lot thinner than it used to be in the past, and it was burnt especially around the edges and didnt feel worth the price, and I felt a little embarassed after reccommending it to her since I used to order it very frequently in the past. We were excited to try the advertised happy hour along with our entrées, but werent told it was only in the bar until we were already seated, and the bar doesnt have any accessible seating either way since it is all high bar chairs even at the tables, and it just felt a little silly limiting the appetizer deals to that area. I am also dissappointed that they completely got rid of their free bread and butter, as well as refills on the lemonades, as it just felt like we were getting nickel and dimed. My lobster bisque was very yummy and it is my favorite item on the menu but it also felt really cheap being asked if I wanted to pay an extra 7 or 8 dollars just to add lobster...to my lobster bisque... And I feel like without the complimentary bread it doesnt feel as worth it ordering soup, especially since I am pretty sure it went up in price as well, and I probably wouldnt reccommend ordering a bowl instead of a cup because of this too. My side salad felt more expensive than usual as well, as it used to be 8 dollars when I would go but it was now 12, and my mom felt her side wedge salad she added on didnt have enough flavour. My tiramisu was also tasty but I have a feeling it was sitting in a fridge or a freezer for a long time because it was very cold and tasted and felt almost watery? Our waitress was incredibly nice and did a great job but I could definitely feel the amount of times we were pushed to add on something extra, but she is just doing her job so I'm not mad at her over it at all. My mom said she was extremely disappointed and wouldnt ever come back again because it didnt feel worth the over $100 we spent for just the two of us, and she was sad because she had wanted to try Brio for a long time. I dont think I would really want to come back anymore either due to all the changes. I feel like the customers are just paying for the remodel from all the upcharges. I am glad they got rid of the paper on all the tables though, and at least the restaurant does look beautiful after...
Read moreOn Monday, August 22, 2022, at 7:00 pm, I was so excited to try a new Italian restaurant with my hubby and mentee and thought this place would be a good choice based on reviews. I was greatly misled and mistaken. I have to say the service from the host and waitress was beyond terrible. The hostess didn't want to give us a booth after we asked for the empty one next to us. The restaurant was not busy or full on a Monday 7 pm mind you. She said no because it is for parties larger than 3. Then 10 min later she sat a party of 2 there. Wow, ok! I don't remember the server's name or if she even told us her name because she had such an attitude. I just remember she had blonde hair. The server took 30 min to come to our table to greet us and offer us something to drink. I honestly felt like she was being impartial because she was attending other people more than us. We had to constantly ask for more water, whereas with other tables she would offer them water periodically. She would walk by us with the water pitcher in hand and not stop even though our glasses were empty. She would refuse to look at us or the table it seems. I haven't felt this type of treatment in a long time. I had to write a review because and it is so sad and unfair that a young kid we mentor had to experience that. The food wasn't that good either. The pasta was undercooked. Even if the food tasted good, which it didn't, getting bad service makes you loose your appetite. And the opposite is true too, if the food is ok but the service is good, you feel satiated and good when you leave. It gets worse, the table they sat us in has a center divider next to it with lamps on it. The lamp was right next to me looked like it needed a very good dusting. Yuck all around. Only certain type of people will get treated well there; unfortunately, we were excluded and unwelcomed. My family is Latino, by the way, and I am a teacher, who was just getting off work that day and wanted to celebrate an awesome accomplishment my mentee achieved. Save your money and go somewhere else is my advice. Will never...
