I moved from Mesquite to Red Oak in November of 2018. I was a big fan of Tom Thumb pharmacy for 18 years. When I moved to Red Oak, I frequently shopped at Brookshires and loved it. At that point I knew I wanted my prescriptions to be filled by Brookshires Pharmacy. Up until today I have absolutely loved everything about Brookshires, especially the customer service provided by their staff. One person that stands out the most is Kent, one of the Pharmacist. He is by far the most pleasant and helpful Pharmacist I have ever met. I’ve been so pleased with the Pharmacy that I transferred my entire family prescriptions there. My husband has been in the Military for almost 30 years and recently returned home after being deployed for 3 years. He returned home with a diagnosis that requires maintenance medication. When he went to the doctor he provided them another pharmacy’s name. I immediately switched it over to Brookshires because of the small town great customer service they provide. About a month ago I went to pick up my husbands RX around 8am and spoke with John, the Pharmacist. John advised he could not find my husband in the system. We had gotten a text advising the RX was ready the day before. I figured he may have been overlooking it, so I told him I would come back in the the evening. I came back later and Kent was there and was able to find my husband information and found his prescription, great experience as usual. Fast forward to today. I came to pick up his RX today and John came to the window. He advised of the cost, which was $30 more than what I paid last time. I asked him if he used our Tricare. He told me he didn’t have anything on file, which was concerning because I had just filled the prescription last month. So he asked me to hold on. This is when BROOKSHIRES changed in my eyes. KRISTI CROWLEY came to the window very snappy and aggressive telling me they need my insurance card. I explained to her, he had a prescription filled here 3 weeks ago, she proceeded to say very rudely, well we don’t have it. I asked can you look it up by SSN through Tricare. I gave the SSN to her. She then said to me “I was suppose to be gone at 5:00, I’m being held up trying to help you”. It was 6:45 when I arrived, so I’m not sure how I was holding her up. Of course at this point she had upset me. I told her she will not speak to me any kind of way. We then exchanged words. She left and came back and advised they were wrong and made a mistake. At this point I’m furious because of how rude she is. I told her I was going to file a complaint against her and how she spoke to me was unacceptable. She very rudely held her badge up so that I could take a picture, we then exchanged words, she told me to SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP 3 times and slammed the window in my face. I think I was more in shock than angry that someone that is representing Brookshires behaved this way. John, the pharmacist came back to the window apologizing. I asked him if he heard her, he said I heard both of you, I’m not sure who said what. He proceeded to say I’m so sorry you were treated that way. I didn’t know how to look up your husband’s insurance, so I had to ask for her help. I’m so sorry. John then provided the correct price of the medication which was $30 less that what was originally quoted. I advised John I was going to file a complaint, which he understood and apologized again for how she behaved. KRISTI CROWLEY should be terminated immediately. She is not worthy to be employed with Brookshires in Red Oak. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has come across her rude behavior. I’ve never in my 47 years of life experienced anything like this. She was so bold and rude as if she is sure she will not be held accountable for her actions. I’m asking Brookshires to please investigate my complaint and do not allow Kristy Crowley to service anymore of your customers.
I have reached out and left a message for the Director of the store and also filed a complaint with Corporate.
I look forward to hearing from...
Read moreDeli is nice. Cashier's are friendly. Meat market used to be better. I wanted to edit this review that I originally posted. Let me share with you my experience this past Friday. I made a list as I typically do when I go grocery shopping. Off to the my local Brookshires, list in hand to pick up what I need. Upon entering the store I go the deli counter and ask for Havarti cheese. The nice lady behind the counter said she needed to look in the back. She did and sure enough they were out. I said ok so determined to get the remaining items on my list I headed for the produce department. I needed some cactus to make my Cancun green juice. They did not have any. I thought OK, that's not a enormously high demand product so I blew it off. I then walked around the produce department for 15 minutes looking for grapefruit. They didn't have that! So I'm thinking, this is really a staple product, no grapefruit? Then I went over to get some fresh parsley. They did have this. Exactly two pieces that were old and soggy, so no fresh parsley. So I continued my journey to find the other products on the list. I like kettle cooked salt and vinegar chips. Guess what, they were out of that! I finally stopped this nice kid and explained to him my plight as I walked through the store. He tried his best to console me. I told him that I liked the store, the folks are real nice but time after time when I go into the store, core basic products are not on the shelves. I explained to him all the blatant bare shelves throughout the store. There is an item that I purchase at the customer service counter and the last SIX times I went in to purchase this item they were out! Yes they were out on this shopping trip as well. Geez this place stays in business despite itself. I will try to continue to shop there primarily because I simply cannot stand the Walmart across the street. It's pretty sad that you have a basic 10 to 12 item list and you leave without 50% of the product. I would think that this is a poor batting record. You be the judge. I still give them at least three stars because the staff is very friendly and the store is clean, even the shelves that have no...
Read moreSo last week my daughter and I went to order just a plain pink carrot cake with hot pink and white flowers. About 3 days later we went to pick up the cake and the decor was incorrect. The lady working the counter at the time called the bakery manager explained to her what happened and the lady offered me 5 dollars off to take the cake home to my daughter who was turning 12. THAT would just not do. Like, how hard is it to change the cake color? Plus, I think I'm just accustomed to great quality of customer service. So I speak to the store manager he discounts the cake to half price and offers to deliver it to my house that following day. Now THIS is great customer service! So the next day comes which is my daughters actual birthday . The head cake decorator calls to tell me that the cake was ready and I could come and pick it up. In my mind I'm like "What?". Not only did they mess up a simple cake but now they aren't going to make good on the promise to deliver it. MOMENTS later the store manager calls me to tell me that he is on his way to deliver the cake. My daughter was SO HAPPY WITH THE CAKE. It may have been simple but it was exactly what she wanted. And that smile more than made up for the mistakes. The store manager has TOP TIER customer service..Now the bakery manager she may need a...
