So yes life has a way to kick you when your down... so not only did my two tires pop and we're irreversibly damaged but I had just gotten them on Saturday at Costco. Now I know what y'all are gonna say costco will take anything back, especially when they claim a 5 yr warranty.. we'll let me tell you they won't. I'm not the type to just take anything back I've had jars of jam brand new opened the day I purchased with mold on it from costco, like I'll take little losses i don't have to be a karen. When you see all over social media how great and wonderful they are to their members with returns etc... you buy into the hype and well you think to yourself, well I want to be part of a store that cares about my money, costco knows I earn my money and it's not always easy and they respect that! Alas we believe the lie, and we justify buying into the membership by truly believing that in the long run it's like an investment cus if that plastic xmas tree i bought 5 years ago can be returned and i can have a new one after it stops working, then its definitely worth it because i can keep getting a new one no questions asked... Well today I learned that it's probably all a lie and it's all propaganda. Costco I am truly dissapointed all these years being a member smh... So costco will not exchange my two day old tires that I considered were damaged by a road hazard a sharp object /sharp rocks) the customer service rep said it probably won't be exchanged because I swerved trying to avoid hitting a boulder in the narrow road so since I drove off the road into a pile of landslide rocks that shattered my brand new tires that is no longer considered a road hazard because it's off the road The small print i suppose. So that is now considered a 1 car accident an i must go through my insurance as a collision and that is the only way i can get new tires unless i repurchase and then submit the claim. So umm my deductible is higher than the purchase of the 2 tires smh and to add insult to injury I bought 2 used tires so that I could make it back home thinking and believing the beautiful lie that costco would take the damaged tires and exchange them with liiiike no questions asked! JOKE IS DEFINITELY ON ME. Tow truck 275.00 dlls, used tires 100 dollars, costco executive membership 130.00 annually over 16 + yrs. I have been very vocal about this experience with costco, and many are thanking me for the 411 because theres no point in buying tires there when they won't exchange them because of semantics. I was told by more than one to just go to les schwab it might cost more money but they will literally tow the tires to you and exchange them right then and there in the middle of timbuktu or wherever you are. Sadly costco didnt take them back or replaced them even after I brought them to the store. So with that said be forewarned, read the small print... or maybe just maybe they discrimanated against me because im brown and a woman and im obviously stupid when it comes to automotive things. Furthermore as I was waiting for good news and hopeful that maybe just maybe the rep and her supervisor would exchange them for me, another rep and a supervisor were talking and I overheard the supervisor say "I hate it here!" it poses the question if you as a supervisor hate your place of work and more than likely so do your peers and employees, then the question stands, did i really get good customer service? Did you really try to help me? Or was it all a façade. I personally didn't like any of the attitudes serving me. It felt so impersonal so rushed and basicly the same response was given it's your problem take it up with your insurance and now me and my supervisor won't look at you because you need to get the fuck out now... so yeah it's been a day! So thanks costco you really know how to make a really shitty day even shittier!

I love Costco, but something’s been annoying me lately. My entire life I’ve gone in and got the strawberry sundae. I love it. Recently though, I’ve noticed that the employees are being cheap. I know they put two scoops of berries. One in the bottom of the cup, and one in the top. They told me themselves. Today I paid attention, because I knew it didn’t seem right. I watched them make all the sundaes, including my own. What they do is trick us into thinking there is strawberries in the bottom of the cup when there isn’t. The employee would grab the cup, fill it with a scoop at the bottom, and then dump it out so that all that’s left is just strawberry juice on the sides of the cup. Then, they’d fill up the cup with ice cream and put one skimpy scoop at the top. This way, it appears that there is strawberry all throughout the sundae, and it’s a trick, it’s only a thin layer of strawberry juice. I watched them do this one after another, I believe one persons name was Jay. I asked if I could have more strawberry to make up for this trick, and he said “we’re only supposed to put two scoops in each cup.” That’s right, Jay, two scoops is what I want, and you’re only giving me one. I will be an ice cream Karen when I don’t get what I pay for. Yes, I got my proper amount of strawberries this time, and I will complain when an employee tries to be cheap and not give me that second scoop. I swear, I will always watch them now. This world is too cheap, just give me my dang strawberries and I’ll be on my way. Check the photo for what I mean, there is no strawberry on the bottom, only some of the juice because they don’t really put it on the bottom. Cheap lies.

7/20/24 Once in a while, you run into an employee who makes a huge difference. Today, we were lucky enough to experience 2 amazing Costco employees that do make a difference!

Justin and Renee are not only employees who understand customer service but are also wonderful people. These two folks are the type of people who keep us as customers.

Their exceptional efforts to help us and others set them far apart from the average worker at Costco. We want to say thank you for making us, the customer, feel appreciated and welcome. Thank you for helping to restore our faith in Costco as a company.

Costco, we hope you can recognize the gems you have in Justin and Renee and make every effort to keep them around.

Thank you Justin, thank you Renee! .

2023 So we've been a Costco member since they started, our current card says 1999. Today, after an hour of shopping, all of our items range up, and we're told we can't purchase because our membership is expired!

I don't know about everyone else, but when I receive a notice, I pay my bill. So it seems there's a glitch in Costco's system where our executive rewards were not mailed to us along with our renewal. The renewal is $180, and our rewards are $217. So we asked if they could apply the rewards to our renewal in their system. No, that was the answer, You'll have to receive them in the mail first!! I said, but you didn't mail them. Well, we'll mail them within 4 weeks!" Until then, you're not allowed to shop at Costco!

WHAT?? You have no issue taking my money, instantly, but you can't issue my rewards electronically to pay my membership?? Especially after embarrassing me in line in front of hundreds of customers telling us we can't purchase anything ? Something is fishy here! Also, they are telling me that if I don't redeem my rewards ($217), they expire in 60 days!

What the hell is going on with this new location store?? Worst customer service I've ever experienced!

7/19/2023

It seems they just keep hiring people with the worst customer service ever! Another debacle and 15-minute wait at the checkout stand.the wife and I accidentally switched cards when shopping, and we have been on the same account for 20 years.

However, Cindy M. Decided she wanted to scan my card and saw my wife and I had switched cards. She made a big deal out of it and called for management to see if I had a card also. The store was busy, the line long, and even though I explained we have been on the same account for ever, she continued to treat me rudely, embarrassed me, and made my grandchildren wait until management could look up my number!

Ever since the new store opened, it has been filled with brain-dead new employees! It's getting harder and harder to continue to give...

I have always loved Costco but I had something happen last Saturday, September 14th that humiliated me so bad I went to the car with my service dog and let my husband shop. I am a 60 years old woman and an above knee amputee. I use a wheelchair along with my service dog that pulls me. I have been to Costco many many times with my dog and my dog has never ever gotten out of control or been kicked out but last Saturday as my dog pulled me through the front door and my husband was pushing the cart, the greeter came up to me and said he needed to ask some questions. According to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) if the disability is obvious and the dog is wearing a vest identifying it as a service dog (which mine was) then they are NOT to ask the 2 questions he was going to ask me, so I told him that yes my dog is a service dog and he pulls me as he had just witnessed and then I told him by law he shouldn't even be asking me. The greater then says....I am going to ask you 2 questions...1. is your dog a service dog? I said yes...I just told you...he then said 2. what task does it do? I said he pulls me....but I already told you and then he tells me "I cannot let your dog into the store." I demanded a manager and when they got there he said they have to ask so I was telling him what the ADA says and he told me that it is store policy to ask. Well Costco...I hate to tell you this but the ADA is above your store policy and any state laws and your employee was not in the right telling me my dog could not come in. The manager said I could but by then I was too upset. All of this happened in front of everyone and by then I was too upset. My husband took me and my dog out to sit in the car. I have only been an amputee for 2 years and was just getting to where I was not feeling embarrassed and then they did this to me. I know people are illegally taking their pets into stores and saying it's a service dog and they have NO disability but you can clearly see I have no FRICKEN leg. I never want...
