The most authentic and flavorful Thai food in shasta county. The chef puts so much love, care and presentation into all their dishes. They have a unique flavor profile that is different than the other Thai restaurants in town. I notice how they cook with detail and precision- making their meat flavorful but soft and tender. Their quality of meat is much higher than the other Thai restaurants who often have low quality meats and over cook their meats making them hard and dry- but not this place! They really put a lot of effort into their cooking. Their soups are absolutely delicious and super flavorful, mouthwatering. I got the Ka Soy and it was soo good. Flavor profile was different than other Thai Ka soy but that’s what made it unique and flavorful. I also recommend the Ka poon it’s more like curry. And the Guay Tio Nam Sai soup- WOW! Chef specialty that really has so much unique flavor and so comforting to eat. Pad Thai is awesome and noodles cooked to perfection, flavor balanced. So are the fresh spring rolls, they were huge and best ones I had in town. Huge menu and There are a lot of good mid range items for $18, you just have to take the time to look. They have some higher quality more expensive items too. Also the service their is A+. The waiter is so loving and caring about the people who come in and she also gives us a memorable, friendly and caring experience. She even hand made us fresh springs rolls that are not on the menu, and made them huge with a delicious sauce. She also presented it very nicely. That’s just an example of her thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile. This is a small restaurant but give them a chance, they really care about their businesses. Thanks for blessings us with such good...
Read moreWe tried this place for the first time as we were excited to have a Thai restaurant a little closer than downtown Redding, but we will probably still be making the drive into downtown Redding to have more Thai food for these prices. We ordered an appetizer, a soup and an entree; along with a Thai iced tea and a coffee and our order came out to almost $70 before tip. Which would be totally fine if the portions and flavors were amazing, but unfortunately it just feels like this place isn’t a good value currently. Maybe they still have some new restaurant kinks to work out, we will wait a bit and try again. I was looking at pricing on their website trying to do the math but they don’t have the Thai tea or the coffee on there so I couldn’t replicate the math, it seems correct I just didn’t realize at the time that their tom kha gai was $23. The appetizer was 4 very small sausage egg rolls for $14, they hardly had any filling in them compared to the wrapper, a similar appetizer that size somewhere else would maybe be $8 so we were a little surprised when they came out and were not a good value for the price of the appetizer. As for the pad se ew it was reasonably priced for this economy at $17 but not the portion we are used to from other Thai restaurants in the area. We were surprised to see the Tom kha had nothing but chicken and mushrooms when we are used to other restaurants adding onions and cabbage and bamboo, but the flavor was good! Husband asked for onions to be included and they obliged. The owners and staff are friendly and nice, and the restaurant is clean and good atmosphere. Hopefully they will get the swing of things as...
Read moreTo start this is my only 3rd review. The other was for an exceptional and bad experience. My family and I are Asians and we like to try new Asian restaurant. We had dinner on a Sunday evening and there was no other customers, except us, 3 adults and 3 little kids. Service was OK. After serving us, they didn’t come back to see if we needed more water or anything. Food was good, but pricy like other reviews said. The Asian drinks were too sweet, coming from little sweet tooth kids. When I paid my bill, I didn’t realize I got charged extra for serving 6, an extra $27.80. So my $139 dinner came to $218, that included 20% tip. I would’ve tipped less but it started at 20% unless you choose custom. It was just us and 2 other people at another table that night. 2 more had came when we were leaving. So not busy. You would think they would be happy to get more orders, but to charge us extra because we had more mouths to feed is contrary. We won’t be going back. Also look at the other Asian reviewer when looking at Asians restaurants to eat at. I know an Asian restaurant is good when a lot of Asians go...
