Darkside Smoke Shop Skate Shop — Local services in Redding

I recently spent a large amount of money in the Darkside Red Bluff Store. I wanted the return the item after realizing we did not like the way it worked. When i contacted the Manager on Facebook he took to insulting me, calling me a welfare case (we are in our late 60's and retired). He accused me of having a memory problem, among other insults. I finally had to block him from my Facebook because he would not quit harassing me. He gave me a solution he knew would not work (returning it to the manufacturer is not an option). He is RUDE and insulting, and AS A SERVICE TO THE REDDING COMMUNITY HE SELLS CRACK PIPES! According to his many poor reviews, from other review sites and google, the owner has been a rude jerk to many people who were just good customers with a legitimate complaint. There are so many other business owners out there who would appreciate your business and the fact you are spending your money with them. This place was amazing!!!!!!! I don’t ever write reviews but I felt like I had to write this one. Such a great experience! They had great customer service, super helpful in every way. I just started learning how to longboard. I only knew the basic of what I was looking for. They showed me exactly what I was looking for and kept it within my budget which is huge for me. When people push me to buy more and spend more than I was planning when I don’t need to, that’s what turns me away from business. They didn’t do that and I’m super impressed, they told me everything I needed to know and let me try a couple out and compare it to what I already had. And within 10-15 mins I found the perfect board for me. It was worth every $!! When I went to pay, they showed me how to use the tool that came with with board and they said it was too loose, they tightened it for me so it was ready to go when I walked out the door. I will definitely be going back if I ever want to upgrade my board again. Highly recommend them!!! The pictures are of my new board....

I am really upset. Came in here after being told how fantastic the shop was. Was really interested in a piece and had it on the counter to be wrapped up. The guy working tried to sell me a different piece that i didn’t like as much, so of course i asked if the piece i wanted was defective in anyway. He assured me there was nothing wrong, and off i went. Got home, unwrapped it and noticed a crack. Called, went back and they exchanged for the same piece. I was STOKED to say the least, went home and set up my rig using a ceramic piece to separate the nail from the glass (because I have dabbed for a while and know the risks when heating metal up on glass) and i didn’t even heat the nail up hot enough to take the dab and the downstem shattered. Called back because for the second time i did not get to use my piece and they said “user error”. I wish i could say I had it for longer than 20 minutes before calling. Really bummed more than anything. Won’t be recommending them...
