Every staff member at Goldmart Jewelers r top notch in my book. They always r courteous, knowledgeable, n willing to take that extra step to help solve any problem or question a customer may have. Quick little story of one of my experiences with Nathan, at Goldmart Jewelers. I'm 69 years young, female, who decided that a new fun hobby for myself would be looking for gold n other precious gems, rocks n metals. I knew nothing about nothing regarding my new hobby I was undertaking. I eventually found some gold n took it to Goldmart Jewelers n had the pleasure of meeting n talking with Nathan. I was finding a lot of Cortez crystals as well as other beautiful rocks. I was reading everything I could get my hands on regarding the subject. Learning as quickly as possible by reading n watching videos. But for me, hands on experience, actually getting out there n digging around in dirt, rocks, n water, is how I really learn fast. I learn even faster, with a very knowledgeable mentor, such as Nathan. Looking for all kinds of treasures, is totally fun n exciting for me. So when I would find a treasure, like a rock I thought might possibly be Jade, I would bring my find to Nathan, at Goldmart. Nathan either confirms or not confirms my find. If it is a no go, just wishful thinking on my part, lol, Nathan will explain in depth why it is a no go, as well as sharing different ways to test the stones at home myself with household items. There has not been one time that I have just popped in the store during business hours, unannounced, that Nathan hasn't taken the time to see what I found, explain to me what type of rock it was, as well as the possible value, only if it was the real deal. Nathan is highly intelligent n knowledgable regarding any precious stone or metal, on this beautiful Earth. So my many heartfelt thanks to Nathan n wonderful staff. Wishing all of u at Goldmart very Happy Holidays n New Year to...
Read moreOnly the facts here. I should have left when management was reprimanding an employee in front of me. Making it awkward to begin with. Dropped off a pendant to be fixed. I purchased it in the military during Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia 30 years ago. Received a call that the pendant was lost on the East coast. They asked what the value was because they might have to replace it. Taking the emotion away from it, I would say whatever the value of gold is today at the weight you recorded. Not sure how to value the sentimental part or if that is even fair to bring up. I put a deposit down of $100. They have to remake the pendant and will not refund me the $100 until they go through all the insurance processes. I turned the necklace in on 7/10/2024 and was told it would be ready in one month. It is now 10/03/2024 and I'm told they cannot refund me and there is no date on when the new one will be made and no date on when my refund will be processed. I'm beyond frustrated. I would just go elsewhere. I wish I had. Find a shop that cares about its customers and one that would at least give you your deposit back instead of keeping it and putting the burden on the insurance and the customer. Poor management and customer service. I will be sure to spread the word. I will update this if and when I ever receive my pendant. A birthday and anniversary are passing and I'm unable to gift this back to my spouse. Unreal experience.
UPDATE: Received a call a few months later that they found it and asked if I wanted to buy the new one. No thank you there however, I'm grateful to get my...
Read moreBeginning to end, was a terrible experience. Went in for a ring resizing and request for an appraisal; manager was condescending and scoffed at my fiancé buying the ring online. A few days later, I was contacted and told that after they began resizing the ring they noticed "major structural issues". I was told there was no way that the resizing process would have caused these issues, but was frustrated that they did not see these issues before beginning the resizing process. In addition, the appraisal came out about half of what we paid for the ring and the manager said "that's what happens when you buy rings online." He said if we had gone to him with the money we paid, he could have built the same ring with a "much bigger diamond" which was incredibly condescending and offensive to me. At this point, there was no way to return the ring as it was impossible to prove the structural issues were not caused by the resizing process, and because the ring had been altered we could not return the ring to get another for the appropriate value. The manager acted like he was doing us a favor by offering to fix the structural issues for free (which he only did when I came into the store in person with my fiancé to discuss the plan with the ring). Finally received the resized ring and one year later, it has a large stress fracture where it was resized. I took it into a different jewelry store and they immediately found one other fracture. I was so excited when I got engaged and was so happy with the ring and felt mistreated through the...
