I have shopped at target consistently, usually my first choice in department stores; however my list visit was extremely upsetting. I was shopping with my list of needs and browsing the newer items and noticed 2 security staff following only a few feet from me. Having worked in retail myself I understood that for some reason they must think I'm a concern and that they were just doing their jobs. I am not a shoplifter or thief and had nothing to hide, so I made no fuss and continued shopping normally. I even asked for assistance in finding some items on my shipping list. The young red headed security woman sarcastically informed me that they did not carry that product or that they only had one option for another product, instead of giving me any genuine customer service, her and her coworker spoke rudely about me within ear shot and offered no actual assistance. I am a petite woman and I have never been profiled or suspected or followed in any store ever in my whole life. I was starting to become very offended and frustrated, I am a very non confrontational type of person, so I asked the young lady her name. Though her name tag said "Bryan", she rudely told me her name was "Micah". As I began to walk away from the beauty department, (having found the face cleanser she claimed they didn't carry) to women's wear for socks, she told me I needed to leave the store. She gave me no reason, and I cannot understand her blatant discrimination and harassment toward me. I headed to the register to at least purchase the items I had in my cart and asked to speak to the manager. As I was being rung up by the cashier, another employee came up with no name tag claiming to be the manager. I explained to him my frustration and that I had more shopping to do. I asked him about their loss prevention methods, why I was not offered proper customer service, and wanted to know if I was actually expected to leave and why. He said that the security is not their to give service, that their policy is to harass and accuse anyone suspicious. That I did need to leave and not come back, and that he would check into why I was suspected in the first place. He walked away and did not come back. I paid for my items spending nearly $200 and as I left the store, saw security ordering a coffee at their Starbucks. Once I got to my car I was so confused and so frustrated I decided I would rather take my business elsewhere and get my money back, as well as the contact info for corporate. Once inside I asked for a manager again and a different woman came out and told me that I should not have been asked to leave and that they could not ban me unless I had previously trespassed. Because of this discrimination and inappropriate and wrongful accusation I will not patronize...
Read moreReceived the most-horrible service last night at this Target from one associate. Iâm 9 months pregnantâ my water could literally break any moment, feet swelling, hips separating and walking around the store for two hours, gathering items is a chore in and of itself. When I got to the registerâ our cashier was clearly in a rush to end her shift and threw my favorite purchase (ceramic candle holder with face, ears and dangling earrings) directly into the bag. I heard it break and looked up from the book I was checking out. I asked if she had wrapped it at all and she just shrugged her shoulders and nonchalantly said âIt broke in the bag.â Iâm thinking, âitâs a breakable item that you threw into a thin plastic bag on hard surface without wrapping first, what did you think was going to happen?â But I didnât say anything. She then asked âWell whereâd you get it?â As if I was somehow supposed to remember the isle or walk back there to grab it after gathering over $350.00 in household products / baby items⊠I responded, âDonât you have a way to scan the item and find itâs location?â She rolled her eyes and flagged down an associate who came over right away after he saw the broken item. He seemed like a managerâ nice guy. He quickly scanned the item and offered to go grab another. The cashier continued to scan the rest of my items in annoyance / with an attitude toward me â she said nothing else and was not personable at allâ âwhat did I do to her I wondered?â The associate came back with a replacement item with a smile on his faceâ âHere you go, he said. Sorry about the delay.â He was so nice! He deserves a raise for his composure, willingness to help and overall amazing customer service. This other lady should definitely *not be working in customer service and should not be the last experience had by any shopper at Target â especially a pregnant mama who comes in to get essential items in her last week / potentially last trip to the store before baby arrives. Guess she never learned about service with a smile? Hope I never get her as a cashier...
Read moreI wonât be purchasing anything at this target. I went to cvs pharmacy inside to get one prescription and one bag of flossers they refused to allow me to buy the flossers. A tall older man not the pharmacist. He just said we canât let you get those here. Iâm a disabled person. I waited for the customer ahead of me who had several prescriptions and had to talk to the pharmacist. I waited patiently. I would have had to wait in two lines for two items. Very inconvenient. Poor customer service. Difficult for me to stand. I believe that flossers are a pharmacy item and should be allowed to be purchased with my prescription. They should reconsider this policy. Shameful in my opinion. Iâve always had a fair experience with all of them. This was someone I had never seen before. This policy of not being able to purchase pharmacy items even if itâs not a prescription is ridiculous. I called and asked about this and a target employee didnât care about my experience. She said they donât allow that because customers of the pharmacy would have to wait. I was a pharmacy customer and I had waited. I said ok well o wonât be buying anything from target if thatâs how they think. She said ok and hung up. Poor form Redding Target. Time to review your policies. Flossers are a pharmacy item. CVS should not be in a target if you canât purchase pharmacy items there. If it doesnât make sense then itâs not right. There are aisles of products right in front of the pharmacy window. I wasnât allowed to get one prescription and one bag of flossers? I would have had to wait in tow lines for...
