This location is unfriendly and has terrible customer service. One employee in particular is very unfriendly & has no customer relation skills. The other two girls working there were the only reason we went back to this location for a third try. The third time was definitely not a charm (10/7/22). My two granddaughters and I purchased 5 projects between us totaling $178.35. I was about 10 minutes away from finishing my project (six small 1/2" squares to paint) when I was told by an employee that had just come in to work that I had to leave and come back at another time to finish. A two hour time limit after purchasing 5 items is not appropriate. I can understand being told I have to leave if people were waiting or the studio was busy but the place was empty except for one other table with three people. In fact, the two employees that checked us in were taking their lunch at another table and seemed very embarrassed by the way I was being spoken to. The employee that told me to leave took my payment at checkout. I then asked her to reserve a spot for me to come back in and finish my project and I was told "no you have to do it online with 48 hrs notice". Due to a busy schedule I was unable to go back and finish my project until two weeks later. On 10/21/22 during a walk in session it took me 15 minutes to finish my project, but cost me fuel for a 24 mile R/T and 40 minutes of my time not to mention another round trip was needed to pickup my item when ready. It was at this finishing session that I picked up the first four items that were completed on the first trip. Upon returning home and opening the bag I found that my granddaughters were shorted a light kit for a Halloween lamp and a cork for a coin bank. I called immediately to the store and told them we did not receive these items. Instead of making another trip to collect the shorted items I told them I would pick them up when my project was ready for pickup. Halloween came and went (my granddaughter never got to use her Halloween lamp). Today 11/3/22 I called to check the status of my project and was told it was ready. I received no notification on my item. Weeks later and multiple trips:( In total over the past year $600 + dollars spent by me and not to mention my daughter in-law at this studio. I don't think I will be going back to the Redlands location...
Read moreThis is the second time we try to come to this place and it will be the last time. The first time they had a private event and were closed to the public. So we decided to go another day. Today I called to verify they were open. The employee I spoke to Said they had a 2 birthday parties at the time and one would be leaving by 5pm. We made it to the shop about 545. The employee moriah, said they had a waiting list and they would call us when it was our turn. This information was not relayed to me when I called . We waited by the store for 10-15 min. My husband asked how long would they wait for the people in the waiting list to show up before they gave the table to someone else in the list and she stated they will hold the table for 15min. We walked to another establishment and my husband received a call front this establishment saying that we should come the next day since the other 2 groups have confirmed and we're on their way and we would be rushed to do our painting. I didn't understand why we were asked this since it wasn't 630pm yet. This girl states that the other parties were on their way and by visual inspection there was only 1 table open. We waited for about 15min outside and decides to leave. I asked for corporate information and Savanah gave it to me. I expressed my displeasure and why isn't it clear of all of these rules when you call or for them to show up in the website. She said they are first come first serve but if the tables are full they start a waiting list. It makes no sense to start a waiting list if it is first come first serve. I told her we have been waiting already for 15min since my phone call and the people they were waiting for didn't show up. She just said they r coming. This was very disheartening to my special needs child. I also notice that the open sign was turned off before 630pm. We left the area at 650 and that table that Savanah swore were almost there was still empty and I saw them turn more people away. I think they were just making sure they would be able to go home just before 800pm. This establishment just lost my business permanently. They should have mature adults running this place instead of a young immature kid that want to make an easy buck and be lazy. Based on my experience, take ur your kid somewhere else where the staff want...
Read moreSo many things wrong with this place!
Expensive! They are charging an arm and a leg because there's no competition. It should not be that pricey! Also, they keep their discounts secret. They used to have a card you could buy if you come often and get discounts on the studio fee, but now they are constantly "out" of the card. They also used to have different discounts for each day of the week - now practically none.
POOR customer service. They play music so loud it's impossible to have a conversation with your group while you're there. When I asked them politely to turn it down, they said they would ask me to leave if I asked about it again.
Slim selection on practical items. They mostly have just plates, bowls, and mugs. All the items that adults like to paint - pitchers, napkin holders, kitchen spoon holders, etc, they occasionally have in stock but most of the time when you ask about them they say, "Oh yeah, we have those sometimes..."
Would NOT recommend the place. If only they had competition, I'd never...
