I love this buffet so much. I live an hour and 20 minutes away but I make the trip because they have such a great selection and the food is always fresh and kept clean. They have sushi and a giant wok where you can get your noodles and various meats and veggies stir fried right in front of you. It's usually kept pretty clean and it's a very big place so you don't have to sit right next to somebody if you want to observe social distancing. If they run out of an item and you ask about it they will replace it quickly which is very nice when it's a busy time of day and they're running out of food. Also if it's close to the end of the lunch time and they're getting ready to transition to dinner and they're out of a particular item you can ask for it and they'll make it for you. For example they have this really lovely steamed white fish that I absolutely love it's the reason I drive there. They only serve it at lunch time so there was a time when I arrived at the very end of the lunch hour and they were out of it and they weren't going to replace the tray because they were transitioning to the dinner menu. When I asked the staff person about the fish he asked me how much did I want and so I told him that's my favorite thing and the reason I come there and 7 minutes later he walked out with a plate with three giant pieces of fish on it. I thought that was so over the top for customer service at a buffet. I send everybody I know there and I have been going there now since before covid so at least 3 years and I will continue to go and when my family visits from out of state we drive all the way down there to go have dinner or lunch. I will say though if you're a seafood person you definitely want to go for dinner because that's when they put out all of the different types of shellfish. If you have children that don't care for Chinese food or don't care for fish or shellfish take them during the lunch hour because they do have pizza and little fried chicken wings and some teriyaki chicken on a stick that even picky...
Read moreupdate on 10/31/24 I am putting all 5 stars back for them after several months. They have improved a lot in their service & food quality. The new servers are more friendly & attentive. They kept taking used & unattended plates constantly. Taking care of refilling drinks even before asking! Also remember if we ordered less ice or no ice. Totally improved & professional customer service. Previous female servers were very moody & disrespectful with us. We had to wait forever to ask for & then get a drink refill. Used plates were piled up! Anyway, currently all the food, salad, snack & side dishes & grill/ hibachi station dishes' test & quality has increased & remains the same all week long. Previously only weekend food was a bit more tastier. Also all seafood's quality has increased significantly. Our last visit was very pleasant & enjoyable. Thank you team Star 🌟👍🏼 ................................................................................... I am putting 4 star from 2 star as they have increased the quality of the food. The chef is awesome. As a sea food lover, Me & my family dine here every other week. Of Course for the sea food & Hibachi / Mongolian grill. Also for the fresh dishes. But, the vig complaint is, they still need to look over the service. Most of the servers are there just to have a job & earn. So far we know them all & only 2 of the server girls are really attentive. They have gained our trust to becoming one of the best sea food buffet in San Bernardino even though they have raised their price a bit. The choice of their starters, main courses on sea foods, veggies, meats, rice & noodle and desert & salad bar are my favourite. Their sushi bar and Hibachi bars are also provide good choice & taste. Overall the all you can eat experience in here is good but still their waitresses need to learn a lot about customer care! That's holding them to get the last full star rating from me. They are clean & tidy. The restrooms are also clean. It's wheelchair accessible & have Lots of...
Read moreThe food is ok, but the service is terrible. A couple of times the oyster was not fresh and I used to have diarrhea after eating here. Their spoons for icecream are sharp on the edge and cut my kid’s tongue twice but they ignored my complaint. The place is always crowded and the waiters/waitresses never smile. Just had a very bad experience last night. A couple in front of me took the whole tray of lobsters right after it was served. No single piece was left. I complained to the manager that they should do something to make sure other customers could get some too. He said “There is nothing I can do. Most customers are non-Chinese and if I limit how much lobster they can take they would be unhappy and fight against me. They would not come again and I would be fired. You see now the food is hot but if they don’t come the food would be cold. You want the lobster then stand and wait there for the next tray. “ I asked him if he meant that I had to stand there for 15 minutes, he said he could get some for me as a favor. I finally got the lobster but this was not what I wanted. The manager was not professional at all. First, what’s the difference between Chinese and non-Chinese customers? Did he mean that for Chinese he could limit the amount of food being fetched each time and for non-Chinese he couldn’t? Is this discrimination? You don’t want to lose customers who took all the food, but how about the customers who can never be the first of the line to get a piece? Second, what did he mean by saying there was nothing he could do? If the manager couldn’t do anything who could? If you cannot limit how much food for each customer you can increase the frequency of supply. Or simply let people know it’s not eat “as much as you can” at least for the lobsters which we are paying extra for. Third, he was asking me, a customer, to understand him, the restaurant manager, not the opposite way. I did understand him, but is this a manager’s right attitude? I will never...
