I recently purchased a stainless-steel frying pan from Arome, hoping to invest in a high-quality product from a local business I believed would stand by its merchandise. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. After using the pan only twice, I found that it did not perform as expected. When I attempted to return it—not for a refund, but simply for an in-store credit so I could select a different product—I was met with surprising resistance.
I was informed that Arome’s in-store warranty covers only “unused” items returned within 30 days. This policy strikes me as both unusual and frustrating. Arome’s stance is a stark contrast to the assurance customers expect when shopping locally—that if a product does not meet reasonable standards, the business will work with you to make it right.
I wanted to continue supporting Arome by exchanging the pan, not taking my business elsewhere. However, with restrictive policies like these, it’s hard to justify spending my dollars locally if I’m left without options when a product doesn’t live up to expectations. Arome may want to reconsider its policies if it hopes to cultivate loyal, satisfied customers who feel confident shopping...

Two months ago I my daughter and I purchased some smaller kitchen items. A silicone coated whisk was one of them. I used it maybe 3 times and the silicone started peeling off. During that two months I was recovering from a knee replacement and my daughter spent 10 days in the hospital. Since I do not live in Redmond yesterday was the first opportunity I had to return. The sales girl pointed out that the coating was silicone, that I had purchased it two months prior, and they only accept returns on unused products. I feel that Arome should stand behind a purchase that was defective and at least offer a store credit.I was not pleased and my visit yesterday left a bitterness that...

They’ve also got teas, spices, baking supplies, wine...
