First time eating at Rincón Azteca A Family Mexican Restaurant. Our group (4 adults and 2 children) stopped in for a late lunch. There was only two other customers in the restaurant. It was 2 pm on a Thursday. We were able to choose our table and our server brought us chips, salsa and bean dip, along with water for everyone, and menus. After a short bit, we ordered. We all ordered from the lunch menu, which included the especial de la casa chili Colorado plate, chicken enchiladas, avocado tostada and a chili relleno burrito. It didn't take long for our lunch to arrive, served up on fairly large plates. Portion sizes were fairly large. The food was served up at an appropriate temperature. It looked good, and best of all, tasted good. Good flavors. The restaurant was clean and inviting, decided with an Aztec flair. Our server was a polite, efficient and attentive person. Overall, this was a very good dining experience for us. We parked in the parking lot at the rear of the restaurant. There is an entrance on this side, but you do enter through the kitchen. The kitchen was clean. 👍

Our giant margarita was delicious. I wouldn’t say it’s giant and it’s not because I’m an alcoholic 😂. I believe it’s the same size as other restaurants. I had the Grande asada burrito and that was in fact huge! The meat was very flavorful it’s not the same meat used in fast food places. Maybe a finer cut 🤷🏽‍♀️. From the kids menu we ordered a ground beef burrito and it is bigger than I expected. The ground beef was good and it was covered in maybe enchilada sauce… it was very good though I would order it for myself. They of course give you chips and salsa while you wait. Prices are decent. The staff was welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and polite. Food was served fast. Large and clean restaurant. Bathrooms available and clean as well. I would say wheelchair and kid friendly. Would eat here again!

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this spot as if had decent reviews, the food was great and I didn’t have any issues with that, however the customer service was lacking BIG time, we barely saw our waiter or waitress, we were not sure who was actually assigned to us, our water was empty multiple times and it was like they kept forgetting about us all together, and the last batch of water they brought out for us tasted like it had soap still in it from the wash. The guacamole fresco was amazing and the flautas were good as well!

I wanted to like this place ... I enjoy downtown Redmond, I am very partial to non-chain restaurants, and I love Mexican food. But this restaurant was disappointing.

The interior is much improved from the previous Mexican restaurant that occupied this space. The furniture and art is all new and very bright/festive.

The service was both friendly and accommodating; the only hitch was that we had to too frequently ask for things that should have been done without asking (more chips/salsa, extra napkins, the check).

The menu is way too ambitious - there are five pages packed full of items. why not shrink the menu to three pages and do those things really well? And I have serious issues with the drink menu. Why do so many restaurants insist on only bringing one drink menu to the table? And why (WHY?!?!?) do so many restaurants have drink menus without prices! And why do so many restaurants make you ask about happy hour specials?

Anyway, there is a happy hour at Rincon Azteca but I couldn't tell you what all it includes because there is nothing on the menu and no signage. The waiter said that the house margarita is a happy hour special. Of course, the house margarita doesn't even appear on the drink menu and the way it was described by the waiter it sounded like the swill that is served at far too many Mexican restaurants.

Here's a tip - put ALL of your drinks on happy hour special. You can afford it - you really can. And if you can't then your restaurant has significant structural issues that need addressing.

The margaritas we ordered were very good but very expensive - we paid $42.75 for three margaritas with the best one (and the most expensive one) being the Azteca (it was really good).

The food was meh. The chips are just OK, but the salsa is better. The chips are also served with beans, which were very good. My wife ordered chicken fajitas ($21.95) and said they were good. I ordered two chicken tacos with rice and beans. The rice and beans were good but the chicken tacos were some of the worst I've ever had. Why? Store-bought hard shell tacos should be banned rom restaurants. And the quantity of the chicken in the tacos was really miniscule.

For better Mexican in Redmond I'd go to any of the taco shops (there is one about two doors down from Rincon Azteca; there is Rigoberto's on 5th; and there is one on 97;...
