The Moontower — Restaurant in Redmond

UPDATE:

After receiving a "Do-Over" invite from Nick the owner, my friend and I went back to The MoonTower this evening for dinner.

And let me tell you what an immensely different experience it was!

We had the Full Moon Burger and the Alright, Alright Alright. The food was SPECTACULAR!

The service was prompt and friendly, the cook was quick yet through with our food service and WOW!!!

I can't begin to describe how phenomenal the Full Moon Burger is. Fresh, cooked perfectly and the bleu cheese bacon combo was to die for.

Thank you Nick for the redo invite. We would have just chalked our last visit up to a bad meal and have never returned to enjoy the to quality food that we had this time around.

We will DEFINITELY return.

PREVIOUS: Tonight a friend and I decided to eat out late for dinner.

We chose The Moontower because it was close, convenient and open late... Plus the menu pics looked delicious.

NOT THE CASE!

The service was slow and we had to get the waitress attention to order after being there for 15 minutes.

Almost 30 mins later when our food arrived it was not the correct order.

The food was cold and it was atrociously both burned to a crisp (the fish on the fish & chips) and soggy (the fries).

Decided to try them out (Saturday, Mid-day). walked in, probably about 4 or 5 folks sitting at the bar. Completely ignored by the staff at the bar -- was too busy having a conversation with patron at the bar. Picked up a menu - it was FILTHY with some kind of greasy substance on it. Then I noticed the tables - all dirty - looked they were wiped down with a damp rag. Floor had bits of food stuff on it. Went back out to my car and used some cleaning wipes to clean my hands off. They have a good location - now they need to get the place cleaned up. Don't know about the quality of the food, for I didn't want to run the risk of contracting ptomaine poisoning from the...

What an awesome spot. They really took the old existing bar (Checkers) and gave it some life. People actually want to come here to hang out, drink, eat, play pool, and video poker. Definitely one of our favorite spots in town for a date night. Bartenders specifically Diane and Nikki are the best. Cooks are awesome too specifically Kevin and Nick.
