My husband and I have been loyal customers at this GameStop location for several years. We've always appreciated the knowledgeable, friendly staff and the generally welcoming environment. Unfortunately, our experiences have more recently taken a negative turn due to one particular younger employee who, despite having worked at this location for quite some time, has continuously demonstrated a lack of professionalism and courtesy.
Every interaction we've had with her has been marked by a poor attitude. She often responds in a snarky, dismissive tone that makes us feel like a bother rather than valued customers. Most recently, when my husband and I came in, we were once again ignored in favor of a casual conversation she was having with a man—who we honestly couldn’t even tell was a fellow employee. She made no effort to acknowledge us outside of a quick greeting as we walked in, or offer help until we had been standing there for longer than necessary.
What made this visit even worse was her loud, graphic jokes and inappropriate commentary, despite several children being present in the store. It was incredibly uncomfortable, and frankly, shocking behavior for someone representing a semi family-oriented retail space. Both my husband and I have enjoyed several jokes that the staff have thrown out, regardless of how deprived they are. As we both enjoy humor along those lines, however, making detailed "jokes" about how you've been dreaming about murdering someone while there are children present is insanity.
My husband, who frequents this location more than I do, has mentioned multiple times how uneasy he feels whenever he has to interact with her. He’s observed her being similarly short and rude with other customers as well. Then turning around to blatantly ignore them in favor of continuing a conversation with a coworker or friend. It's disheartening, especially considering how much he praises the rest of the team here. The other staff have consistently been approachable, helpful, and kind—I’ve had great experiences with them myself before having to deal with her as the only worker available.
It’s frustrating to feel compelled to leave this review, especially when the store itself has so much going for it. But one employee’s continued attitude problem is beginning to overshadow everything else. We genuinely love shopping here, and we want to continue doing so—but something needs to change.
We sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this issue directly. It’s reached a point where we’re rethinking our loyalty to this location, which is disappointing given the otherwise great team behind the counter, including new and...
Read moreI started grading cards through gamestop back in February. I have had some cards that have come back that don't really look like the ones I submitted. I compared my pictures to the ones returned and even showed it to Cory the manager. He stated I needed to leave all the cards with him to send back to dispute. I choose not to leave them. Since then I have started sending the cards in on my own with no issues. After PSA says they have been graded I get them back in two days. I have waited a week for gamestop to call.me after I see them graded. Like my last two submissions through gamestop showed graded on Monday I went in on Thursday and was told the late there was a PSA box in the back but it had to be Jason or Cory to check them in. I was informed the box came in on Wednesday. Their lack of prioritizing of customer products ensuring they get them promptly is lacking. We are their last priority. So, with the doubts of cards being mine and the lack of urgency to get us our cards I would say DO NOT USE GAMESTOP. I can't prove gamestop or anyone else swapped out my cards but I haven't had any issues submitting on my own. Just food for thought if you have a high dollar card. My cards was clean as you can see this ones not. I would have noticed something that bad and...
Read moreI’m done with this location. I’ve tried 3 times now to buy an Xbox Series S. The first time I was trading in my PS5 and called ahead to check availability before I made the half hour drive. I get there and the first thing I do is check again that they have them in stock. The rep assured me they have it, then started the process of the trade in. Almost an hour later he finishes and tries to sell me a used one. I told him I; I want a new one like I told you twice already. He then tells me they don’t have any new ones… I was very frustrated but decided to let it go and I would just check the following week. Following week I call ahead, they confirm they have it. I drive down and they tell me they were confused and thought I meant the old Xbox series S???? So now FF to today. I once again call ahead. Confirm that it’s the SERIES S, and I even went as far to confirm the price, she confirms it’s 300 and it’s new. I drive down and you can guess what happened when I got there. Is this some kind of bait and switch to sell their used consoles??? I am unbelievably frustrated right now. I’ve purchased so many consoles and games from this company, but I am done. And no, I won’t be renewing my powerup rewards....
