This local bookstore is such a gem! The location is prime and easy to get to, and the space itself is clean, bright, and cozy. The selection of books is fantastic—there’s a great variety to browse, with something for everyone. I especially loved the children’s book area, which was thoughtfully set up, and the comfy chairs scattered throughout that make it easy to sit and flip through a book before buying. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the gentleman behind the counter, which immediately made the experience feel welcoming and personal. It’s clear that a lot of care went into creating an inviting space for book lovers of all ages. If you’re looking for a spot to discover new reads and enjoy a friendly, local vibe, this bookstore is definitely worth a visit!

it's a very cozy store! I've been walking past it many times but only noticed it this week so decided to stop by. it's very nice inside, feels very homey. I loved the notes added to some books, the way they bookstore owners make sure to display local artists' items for sale. many items are unique, too! I also heard the staff at the check out talking to someone who seems to stop by frequently & it seems like they are not just reccomending any books but genuinely care for patrons' interests.

I’m SO excited about this place opening! Redwood City needed a local bookstore and this place is perfect. So many books and cute tchotchkes made my local artists. There are also cozy chairs to read in and they host some local book clubs. They can also order books for you that they don’t already carry! Check it out!

Fireside Books just blew my socks off, and I’m a TOUGH book store customer.

This is the kind of bookstore you find and feel like you found a little gem, to share with other true paper book lovers. A a dying breed.

The couple that owns the store know everything about the books on their shelves. The owner was friendly and welcoming—there are chairs tucked throughout, and no pressure on time.

I needed some recommendations and I gave him a vague cross-section of interests and rabbit holes, from neuroscience to human consciousness to political polarization. He repeatedly thought it over, then plucked a book off the shelf and told me a why it might be a match. Every recommendation he put in my hand I ended up buying (eek).

It’s a tiny little space, tucked away by the train tracks. Space matters, and it feels like everything they carry was carefully selected.

OK, I’ll stop raving now… I’m just so excited… There has not been a real independent adult bookstore in the RWC - San Carlos area in the decade that I’ve been here! (Love you too, Reading Bug…this is like The Reading Bug for grown-ups)

And we can all still love Keplers. We have room in our hearts for...

Had the pleasure to find this cute indie bookstore in the heart of Redwood City. Very welcoming staff and great addition to RWC area. Very nice selections of books and well organized. I bought a couple of Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition books and plan to collect most of the books as their book covers are unique and designed by artists. I hope to see more of these editions as I would be a regular customer and support this indie bookstore. Thank you for opening up in this area and being so helpful...
