A True Gem Among Dispensaries â Updated 8/27/25
Ever walk into a dispensary and feel overwhelmed by the hustle and high-pressure environment? Think Airfield, one of those âhurry up and buyâ shops that prioritize sales over customer care. Juva, on the other hand, is the antidote to those âpump and dumpâ dispensaries.
From my first visit, I knew Juva was different. Joseph, the head budtender, set the tone right awayâapproachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me make the right choice. No pressure, no rush, just real conversation about flowers, edibles, live rosin cartridges, and concentrates. He left me impressed, not only with his knowledge, but with the kind of old-school service that makes you want to come back.
Fast-forward to my most recent trip, and I have to shout out Daniel. I came in jonesing for an indica-dominant pick-up and was a little bummed to learn Juva no longer carried Allswell. Without missing a beat, Daniel put me on to a comparable option with Dime Bag and even helped me round out my order with a Wyld pear gummy. What really stood out though was the customer service. I ended up a little shortâliterally 35 centsâand Daniel not only reminded me about my $10 birthday coupon and a $2 Instagram promo, but when the total still came up just over what I had, he spotted me the difference. Thatâs the type of above-and-beyond customer care you rarely see these days.
I walked in expecting just a quarter, but I left with more than productâI left feeling looked out for. It reminded me of the old days when your plug was as reliable as the milkman. Daniel chopped it up with me, made sure I left happy, and proved that Juvaâs culture of care isnât just a one-off with Josephâitâs consistent across the team.
If youâre tired of transactional âhello, goodbyeâ dispensaries, Juva is the spot. Whether itâs Joseph breaking down products like a true connoisseur or Daniel making sure a customer walks out smiling no matter the situation, theyâve earned my certified hood approval.

Juva is absolutely THE BEST dispensary in the Bay Area. Iâve been to many MANY different dispensaries in SF, SJ, and just about every city in between and none comes close to my experience in this Redwood City location with Noora and staff. First off, all the staff were friendly, patient, and happy to help me navigate my first time experience here. The first girl I talked to (I didnât get her name) helped me discover products that were not on display so I can made the best educated decisions. But what made my experience truly unforgettable was my encounter with Noora. Iâve never met someone so radiant, friendly, genuine, and so passionate about the products. That ignited my curiosity to learn more about the products, and she was more than happy to explain everything: 1) That THCa (acidic form) despite being THC, is not psychoactive, and that it enhances CBD. 2) How helpful CBC is for recovery, anxiety, inflammation, and its potential effects for helping asthma. That helped me decide that I wanted to swap my pure CBD Level tablets to the Recover Level Tablets which had THCa and CBC on top of CBD. Noora was also more than happy to introduce and help me navigate Kikoko products, which led me to add the Buzz mints and Sympa-Tea to my order. It wouldnât have felt complete without those, and Iâm so happy she helped me discover them. Throughout our entire encounter, she was extremely patient(I probably took up like 3 customers worth of time but she never once rushed me or was even a little bit annoyed at my changes or questions), knowledgeable, intuitive and attentive.    Read moreEdited from a 5 star to a 1 star. I have been a loyal and regular customer since they were delivery only. They completely lost my business on my last visit to their shop yesterday. Terrible customer service, argumentative and accusatory staff. They wanted me to make me feel that their mistake was my fault. I paid in advance using my bank card online and I was double charged for an order because they made two pickup orders for me instead of one.
One order was short one item and they charged me for both! The explained that they "thought they were out" of the item I ordered, which was why the second order was created and also charged to my bank card. It was strange because my original order was there, with all of the items, they charged me for both and they made me feel like this was somehow my fault, being aggressive and condescending during our entire conversation.
When I requested a receipt for my refund (they refunded me in cash instead of issuing a refund to my bank card) on the second order, they denied my request. One employee even demanded that I show them my bank account transactions and explained to me my email receipt for prepayment was not "actually a receipt" during the fiasco. I can't even begin to explain how humiliated and degraded I was made to feel by the staff.
After the refund had been issued, I should have been given a receipt for the transaction and the charge for the complete package of product I received should have been left on my card, problem solved. I have no idea why I was made to feel like I was in the wrong, given that the whole situation was because they built two orders for me for no reason.
