Crystal Underground — Local services in Rehoboth Beach

Walked into this place on a whim, on the way to another metaphysical/stones shop. Picked up probably ~$100 worth of merchandise to buy before my fiancé picked up singing bowl and was quickly met by the employees. Understandable that singing bowls are expensive and you don’t want the causal tourist to have hands on, but (1) don’t put something like that out if you don’t want it touched, (2) don’t make it obvious that you think a patron is incapable of using it, and (3) don’t speak to the user like they have no concept of what they are or how they work, especially if your instructions to them are incorrect, set it back on the shelf, and make it clear that your sole intention was to have it not touched. We put everything back and walked out. My fiancé still really wanted to buy the signing bowl, despite me being so thrown by the service. He wanted it out of the hands of a tourist shop, so we went back. He asked if the price is firm, to which the lady not only did not give him a respectful response, she literally walked over the the piece and changed the price from $1,500 to $2,500, laughing that it was because he’d already left the shop before. This is ridiculous service, and it’s unfortunate because the other employees seemed kind and there was a good selection. My opinion, if you don’t want to sell an item, don’t display it, and certainly don’t treat true, interested customers this way. Regardless of what they offer, I will never return and I’ll tell those I know of...

If I could give ZERO stars I would for my “shopping experience” with Crystal Underground. BUYER BEEARE! I purchased a gift card for my niece who goes to school in the area. I wanted to support a local small business. There was no option to give a message for the gift card so I emailed after the order was confirmed. Their website says 1-6 business days to ship and considering that this was a gift card I figured it would be sooner rather than later. Seven (7) days later I still had not received confirmation of shipping so I emailed inquiring about the order. NO RESPONSE. I emailed again two days later. NO RESPONSE. At this point I’m pretty annoyed and then I call them the next day (10 days after I placed the order) and no one answered the phone (I called at 10:30 / they opened at 10am according to their website). I left a message saying that I would like a call back and I wanted my order cancelled or I would go through my credit card company.

To their credit they did refund my credit card which I found out via e-mail. There was never an apology or any follow up. I’m Thankful I didn’t have to go through my credit card company but BUYER BEWARE!! Very disappointed and will never do business with this...

Elena & Radha are absolute dolls. I met them last year when they came into my work. I had complimented them on their jewelry & they told me they had their own shop in Rehoboth. I finally was able to make it in there today & WOW what an amazing atmosphere to be in. The store is gorgeous with savorski crystals hanging from the ceiling, almost everything in the store they’ve made themselves, so detailed and unique. Elena is so sweet, knows her stuff when it comes to crystals! Her spirit is so refreshing and her vibes just make me smile! You can tell her store means everything to her and the passion that she has just makes you want to support her and her business. I love this store & will absolutely...
