I love this place. Always try to buy local when I can, especially for gifts and I shop here often. Unfortunately today, for the 1st time I was told I needed a mask to continue shopping. It's one thing to ask for a mask and a customer say they will leave with no issue, but it is another thing to FOLLOW the customer harassing them as they walk to the door. I returned my purchase. Sadly I really loved that item and a local vendor had to loose a sale due to another rude vendor. I respect being asked to wear a mask. I will happily leave and take my money elsewhere, no issues or scene. What I do have an issue with is being followed with my child present acting like I am some criminal and getting talked down too when I stayed quiet and not talked back or said 1 word. Sad this 1 vendor had an issue when the other vendors and workers did not fuss at all. As I walked to the door I went to the front cashier counter to hand back the item I intended to buy. She stated she had no issue with us not wearing a mask and happily rang me up instead of having to put back the item for us.. so I checked out.. but the rude vendor continued not only hover and harass us but he did the cashier too. He tried to intimidate and even made her feel uncomfortable. As we left after she rang us up, he went off on her. It didn't feel right to allow another employee/vendor treat a fellow employee like that so I went back in and returned the item. He still continued to harass not just her but us as well. No customer or employee should ever have to be in this position. Poor...
Read moreIn the area for work and came in to check out the "visitor center" which consisted of a small rack for brochures and a few shelves of Reno souvenirs. The rest of the space had an upscale flea market feel. It was clean and organized with uncluttered aisles. They offered a variety of artesian soaps, candles, used books, costume jewelry, knitted items, postcards, jams, spices, wooden bowls, dishes, apparel and two beautiful galleries filled with prints of animals and Reno landscapes. I was wary with the reviews regarding customers being followed around but I pretty much wandered around on my own. Maybe it's because I only came in with a wristlet and not a huge purse or bag. Located in a strip mall that looks deceptively gorgeous inside, though surrounding shops were...
Read moreThis place is more like a flea market. It is set up as a big open space with lots of vendors. It does have some cool local artists hand made things but lots & lots more of used knick knacks (grandma like figurines) and clothes. 1 star ONLY because it's not my cup of tea. Maybe its yours? They do have a decent selection of Nevada souvenirs to the left of the door as you walk in and exotic foods like jerky (which is really cool). Otherwise, if you aren't into a flea market/yard sale scene, stay away. Employees will also follow you and keep an eye on you and make you feel uncomfortable. I ran into some other customers who had the same opinion and left because it's more of a flea market/yard sale scene. But hey, maybe it's for you (nothing wrong with that)....
