My experience with Dillard's was nothing short of a nightmare. I cannot express my frustration and disappointment enough. I needed a car seat to complete the last checkbox to get my baby out of the NICU, and Dillard's was supposed to be the solution. What a letdown!
Upon arriving at the store, I was met with clueless and unhelpful store attendants who seemed to know nothing about their own inventory. After being assured over the phone that they had plenty of options available, I thought this would be a straightforward process. Boy, was I wrong!
I had to endure a long and agonizing journey of talking to multiple staff members, including the manager and store manager, trying to arrange for the floor model insert to be ordered for me. This should have been a simple request, but it turned into a bureaucratic nightmare.
To add insult to injury, the store manager seemed indifferent to my situation and lacked any sense of urgency in resolving the issue. I felt like they couldn't care less about my baby's well-being and my urgent need for a car seat.
In the end, I had no choice but to go somewhere else to find the car seat my baby needed. Dillard's failed miserably in providing the basic service they promised, and their incompetence and lack of empathy were beyond disappointing.
I will never step foot in a Dillard's store again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this company if they care about their time, money, and most importantly, the safety and well-being of their loved ones. Dillard's should be ashamed of their abysmal customer service and complete lack of responsibility....
Read moreRude service rep in make up department. Absolutely empty except for a few employees talking bad about customers amongst themselves. I was trying some make up testers which looked beaten up and hadn’t been replaced for months and didn’t realize that one employee was watching me like a hawk, instead of helping me, as soon I pick up one tester pallets she says “do not pick up the items from the display”, I told her its a tester item and I picked it up to open it since it was closed, she kept repeating herself in a condescending and bully type of way adding “you can play with it all you want but don’t pick it up”. I am a 30 year old woman mind you, I’m not playing with it, I’m deciding if I want to spend $100+ on some make up. While looking for a setting spray I accidentally made eye contact with a service rep in a comical doctors cloak and she asked if I needed help, since she seemed bored, I asked her to help me find it. She directed me to just a regular face spray but I realized her intention for bringing me to that brand was to try to convince me to sign up for a credit card to get some samples from the brand. First of all, the product was nothing close to what I wanted so I kindly denied, then she kept creepily lingering and trying to get me to sign up for the credit card. I notice only old people shop here and this creepy behavior is exactly why department stores are dated and going out of business. Sephora...
Read moreI don't normally post bad reviews as I only like posting good reviews to help local businesses. However, the way I felt walking out of Dillards warants it.
I went in looking for dress shoes for my wedding, as I was looking around at the dress shoes the 2 employees in that area walked away from me as soon as I walked their way ti ask for a shoe size. I decided that maybe I should leave and not deal with it. However, one of them decided to walk back my way and ask if I needed help. I showed them a Steve Madden loafer that I was interested in trying on, the persons response without even checking to see if they had the size was " Have you looked at these shoes they are lower priced and some are on sale."
At first, I took it as a suggestion. I tried a couple on and did not like the fit and finish. The whole time, the person was helping me, and they kept suggesting shoes that were on sale or "below $100.00"
After the employee walked away, I looked at other shoes, I asked a separate employee for a different shoe in the needed size. The fact that this person could not take me serious enough to stop eating her snacks while helping me and essentially offering me lower priced shoes as well is where I decided to leave.
The air of pretentiousness that came from these 2 people as of they were better than me was insane! I will never shop here again. It baffles me how customer service reps treat people at highend...
