Went in for wrapping paper and some mothers day cards. Ended up getting a membership we really didn't want as we make our way down to this store maybe once every two years. They pushed way to hard and lied about something being free in the end.
They have these mini cards that we liked that they had a 3 for 5 deal on. There were only 3 we liked and we only needed 3 anyway. The guy that was, "helping" us said if we signed up we could get another free. When we checked out we had everything we wanted. He said we get one more thing free so my wife went to look. While she was looking he said the price was gonna be around $18.75. She returned without anything else because she didn't find anything else she was interested in. Then suddenly, without the, "free" item my bill dropped 2 dollars. And the man at the counter was super put off because we legitimately didn't want anything else from the store. Rolled his eyes, and even huffed and just generally gave attitude at the fact that we didn't fall for his upsell. He still insisted on signing us up for this membership we're never gonna use, especially because after this, because we're not going back to this store. Maybe if we're not interested in a deal, don't force a deal on us.
I unsubscribed as soon as I got out of the store. I think we'll just go to target or something from now on rather than being accosted by overly pushy and rude hallmark employees with promos we're not...

We were never acknowledged or greeted by staff. I looked at a second lady and smiled when I caught her eye.
We walked around for more than 15 min searching the entire store for Christmas gifts and found a few that would have cost over $300.
But I refuse to purchase items from a business when you don’t rate a simple “Hello”.
