Sure, they've been bought out but I wouldn't call this all bad. Yet. With the new remodel the selection is huge and really well organized and easily visible all over the walls. They have a lot of cool stuff. The budtenders who were there last time I went were getting along with each other and seemed like they were having a good time.
The vibes are different for sure, it was very bright and lively in there. Like I never seen a more lively dispo in my life. I prefer a more relaxed vibe myself but it's not a bad thing. I wish it was a little more homey like it used to be, tho people looked happy in there so it's a good start.
However, when you expand your products like that and hire a bunch of new people you do lose the knowledge and personal aspect. Having a small selection makes it easier to know the products really well. Yes I felt like the budtender, although she was nice, didn't know too much about what we were asking for and didn't know what to offer, but that's OK. Given how recent the ownership change has been it's no surprise really. I just hope kush 21 has the intentions of having a good store and nothing else.
Getting to know the clients and their needs as well as how well you can accommodate that with the new selection should always be a priority. Budtenders should also be getting to know their products as well as possible. With a selection that large it's somewhat difficult, so budtenders should consider what area they want to focus being knowledgeable in and divvy up experimenting among themselves accordingly so they are able to ask good questions and accurately reccomend a few products. Yes, good budtenders (or any good employees) know how to ask excellent questions to the customer. They will put in the time to understand the request rather than presenting all the options they have without getting as much information as possible. It will be overwhelming with the new store organization. The truth is the personability and in depth knowledge all comes with time.
One more thing. Your budtenders have obviously experienced some cranky customers. As I seen the others recent reviews. Please try to ensure your budtenders keep it in mind that some folks don't like change and to not take the attitude personally, just communicate empathetically. You cannot control the customer but you can control yourself, so take the time to make sure everyone is feeling alright and ready to handle themselves in a pressing situation. This attitude will help smooth out some of the rough early bumps.
As long as the staff and management realize this, in time I'm sure this could become a nice spot in...
Read moreSo I have been a loyal customer of Buddys for over a year now and they really need to get there online orders program together. For the second time now I have placed an online order to receive the discount on Vape Cartridges (25% discount on thursdays) and for the second time they did not fill the order. The first time I waited almost 2 hours to receive the "your order is ready for pickup" text. It never came, so I just went to the store to ask about it. The employee filled the order but made me feel like I did something wrong by coming in before I received the "order is ready text". Now fast forward to last night the 2nd of November. I ordered my products just before 9pm and I received a text from Buddys, stating that they received my order and that they were preparing it. I never received the "your order is ready text" I thought it was odd but figured Id wait it out and call the next day to explain the what happened. Surely they would understand and correct the problem as they were they ones who failed to complete the order. Thats not what happened. I was told that there was nothing they could do and that if it hapens agin then just come inside to fill the order. THAT'S WHAT I DID THE FIRST TIME!!!!!! So how does your online orders work Buddy? Make it make sense. So instead of being confused as to how this is supposed to work I think Ill try and find another shop. Kinda bummed out about that but Buddy you gotta take care of your customers. PERIOD!!!!! You dont have a...
Read moreI have been going to this shop for a while now and every bud tender I've interacted with has been friendly and knowledgable. This is the first visit I've been made to feel entirely uncomfortable. I was made to feel like my service wasn't valued and that I was wasting the bud tenders time. I had been interested in purchasing CBD oil as apposed to flowers which I had never done before. I had a lot of questions which I believed to be the bud tenders job to answer. My visit lasted approximately 15 minutes at most. I also let her know I would be interested in purchasing multiple items (edibles, CBD oil & flowers). There were several other staff to help other customers, so why she made it seem like I was a bother to her was beyond me. I said that if she was too busy I could get someone else's help. No answer. I also voiced how important this visit was for me as I was looking for an alternative option to anxiety medication. Her response had little to no empathy, nearly cutting me off, stating that she was just a retail worker and if it were actually a medical issue I would be able to talk to someone who was versed in medical uses. I left only having purchased the bag of edibles I had set aside. I'm very dissapointed that I was treated this way, especially after sharing something so personal to me. Aside from this employees lack of care this establishment has a great...
