Read moreToday, I specifically went to Renton Target (closest to me) because an old coworker told me about the Tabitha Brown vegan launch happening. The workers in food and beverage KNEW NOTHING about it (I blame management, not the employee putting out the product) and told me the items weren’t there when I asked where to look.
I pressed the employee to ask a manager where the launch items were. I could tell the worker felt bad and I was nice to her and made her laugh. The worker had to walkie for management help 3 times before someone actually responded to her. Fast forward a bit, the shelf stable items were out, but nothing else was in ”or in the back” supposedly for fridge or frozen and launch is for TODAY. Online, tons of people are posting about the fridge/freezer items they were able to snag at Target today in regards to the special launch. Renton Target, do better is an understatement.
I was still a little upset from the last time I went to Renton Target where the employee was super rude for no reason when I was trying to do a return WITH reciept, but was excited about this launch because they never have vegan events. I bought a few of the shelf stable items to support the vegan launch, but really wanted the vegan pizza ravioli, potato salad and chickpea chili.
After my last two less than pleasant outings to this specific Target, I’m highly considering never shopping at Renton Target again except to buy the occasional energy drink, trash bags...
Read moreI have always loved browsing in Target and picking things up there when I need a quick grocery trip. Lately, though, I’ve been bugged by the mass quantity purchase needed to pick up household items like paper goods or soap. Grocery prices are randomly very expensive, and when I do pick up deals advertised on the shelf I walk away only to find four discrepancies in Target’s favor on the receipt. Today my three single serve yogurts were a happy $1 each on sale, but lo and behold my receipt showed $1.39 apiece. And yes, I read the fine print. Small enough not to come back and fix it, but irritating enough to build up my resistance to browsing the store and sticking to Fred Meyer where at least my overspending equals fuel discounts somewhere. Equally frustrating are Target Circle discounts that never appear on demand as the checkout device says they will when I enter my ohine number. The extra 5% for Circle members advertised on signs everywhere didn’t land today. I will say that whatever it is that they do to hire and train cashiers works for me. They are consistently patient, friendly, positive and an uplift in my day. I’m always pleasantly surprised by the peace and smiles at the hands of Target checkout lines, even as they completely...
