Delicious authentic! I walked in to buy spices ( green annd the elusive black cardamom) and I could tell someone was a very good cook. Turns out they have a restaurant where an ‘ auntie’ cooks the dosas sambars and Mirch - Bajjii. What is Merch bhajii??? If you have been declared by Orwellian misdiagnoses ‘insane’ so that your recognizable California inheritance could be stolen by blacks in the Obama Administration over the likes of Mirch Bhajii spelling… from the Hindi ( the psych evaluator disappears you asking this kind of trap question and the blacks take your ID and change your family with robotics) …you will ALSO enjoy the constitution your own property restored, and the Merch Bajjii here. The Merch Bajjii is variously spelled, but means ‘ pepper fritter’— Misdiagnoses schemes kidnap and the fraud black police split the inheritance. Go to it! I make my own idli but my sambar never turn out, and this caper involves the end of the US, a billion- heiress kidnapped as a political candidate supposed to be the VP before 9/11. Jealous girls from faculty Harvard. Prizes stolen. Can the country be saved? Fallen as it is? People want their inheritance.
And a tasty side of coconut...
Read moreFew weeks back, I ordered Samosa for lunch and collected it at around noon. The samosas were not only cold but also stale. I reported it and let the incident go. It had carrots, cucumber, elaichi and camphor in it. Couldn't eat more than a spoon. I called the manager to provide an honest feedback of how the rice tasted. The manager was not ready to listen and was just repeating that he would refund the amount. Even after telling him multiple times that its not about the money, he refused to even hear out the feedback. Very bad taste and service. Not...
Read moreHad the one of the best masala dosas in Greater Washington area at this place! The dosa is soft, yet crispy and the potato masala does contain corn. Truly delicious sambhar, unlike the watery types we get in other restaurants. This was thick and really tasty. Chutneys were fresh, not frozen, and the coffee was good.
One thing I’d like to point out was that the bathrooms were not easily accessible as we had to go through the storage area to reach it. Service was fast and you’ll definitely want to stroll around the rest of the shop after trying the food here.
I have tried dosas from the Vienna Amma’s Kitchen and find the food at this place to be infinitely better. Not sure if the management is the same. But Herndon one is...
