Okay, here's the deal. The only reason they're lucky enough to get 4 stars is because they have the best deals I could find for custom made rings in person.
The customer service is good and they can help you narrow down what you may be looking for but be careful because they can be very persuasive.
The owner is really nice and will work with you to get the best price. However, don't be surprised if he takes his own interpretation with your design request without consulting you to make sure. He may trust his notes and memory a little too much. When the ring I ordered wasn't exactly how I wanted, I felt bad but he redid it from scratch without charging me extra, selling the first to make up for his work. You'll need very detailed pictures (like every angle) to get exactly what you want or be sure to be very descriptive. But don't get me wrong, he's very accommodating.
I can't entirely blame them for the time it took to make since the owner makes the rings by his hand alone. But the first time it took about a month and a half even though I was told a few weeks. I had to call to be sure what was going on but I since I didn't need it by a specific date, I told them no rush, which probably why it took a while longer (wasn't prioritized). The remake took a little over 3 months or since it had been 2 months and I hadn't heard anything, I contacted the owner and was told it could be finished in a weeks time. I was then told it may take longer because of an emergency but could be finished Monday, which is fine so I told them no rush. A week later, I called concerned they might've forgotten to contact me and I was told it would be finished soon and that they would be sure to contact me. 3 weeks later, still nothing, so I contacted the owner and was told I could pick it up the next day, so that resulted in a little over 3 months. I was a little frustrated because I was made to feel embarrassed to have called to see if it was done because I was worried they forgot to contact me in the first place, but in the end I couldn't get a straight answer of whether the ring was finished the day I picked it up or if they did indeed forget to contact me when it was finished, before I had contacted the owner.
They are good people but they could do better at keeping their customers in the loop.
In the end, beautiful bridal set which wasn't exact but close enough for the budget I had since the rock had to be bigger for the exact ring I had in mind.
They will clean and resize your ring for free and they will repair it for free (I was told up to 5 years) if there is a defect or it falls apart through no fault of your own.
Lastly, if you're buying with a promised free groom's band, there's a catch which they seemingly only tell you if you ask. Probably aimed advertising just to get you there. It has to be a pre-made silicone, titanium, or tungsten band that they will order for you. If you don't like those, they will knock $100 off a custom made or expensive (gold, platinum) groom's band they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI heard they are good with sales and usually treat their customers respectfully but do not choose this jeweler for setting gemstones. I took in a ring and gemstone for them to set and they destroyed the jewel during the process using an ultrasonic cleaner when it should not have been used. Good jewelers try to avoid using these even on diamonds, the hardest of gemstones, as it is risky and can damage the stone, let alone on a gemstone that specifies to never use the cleaner! Receiving the ring, I knew what happened at once but inquired anyway as to what had happened. Upon inquiring what happened to it, they blamed me for not telling them how to care for the gemstone properly and turned me away with no refund offered for their services or the damaged gemstone. I refused leaving and after arguing a little came to a compromise with the owner; also the jeweler. It probably helped that there were customers nearby listening in, but in the end, all I could get him to agree upon was that if I bought a replacement gemstone, that he would remove the old gemstone and set the new jewel into the ring at no additional cost to me. Thanks...
Originally, I took in a Neptune's Garden Topaz 7ct, then returned with a London Blue Topaz 5ct as it was significantly cheaper, smaller to accommodate resetting, was less likely to be destroyed if for some reason the same post setting cleaning methods were used, Also I had already spent all of my money on the first gemstone so my options were limited.
If they had handled the case more tactfully I would have considered going to them for future services. But as a customer, being blamed for their lack of gemstone expertise which even I knew and how I have been treated since then makes me not want to return. Let alone recommend others to them in the future. Check them out though, the services you seek may not depend on their crafting skill. That, or just ask that they do not use the ultrasonic cleaner in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really love my ring from Main Street Diamondāitās absolutely beautiful, and Iāve even been thinking about buying another one because of how much I adore it. However, I did have one negative experience that made me hesitant to return.
When my husband and I went in to have my ring resized, a younger staff member said something like, āYouāve already asked to resize it a few times.ā I was surprised and immediately apologized, explaining politely that this was actually our first time coming in for resizing. Unfortunately, the staff member didnāt seem to believe me and acted as if I was trying to take advantage of their free resizing policy. I felt like I was being accused of something I didnāt do. Before leaving the store, I tried to explain again, saying, āIām sorry. This truly is our first timeāI just donāt want to be misunderstood.ā
It was only days later that I realized I hadnāt needed to apologize at allāand even if a customer had come in multiple times for resizing, they still wouldnāt deserve to be treated with suspicion.
The older employee (this 5-star review is for him) who actually helped with the resizing was kind, patient, and professional, and I truly appreciated that. But the earlier interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Looking back, Iāve learned how important it is to calmly stand up for myself.
Itās disappointing because I truly love their jewelry and had planned to buy a second ring, but that experience made me hesitate to go back. I still hope to return one day, especially if I know Iāll be treated with the same kindness as the older gentleman...
