Romance Theater — Attraction in Rexburg

I was excited for a fun night, but was disappointed. There was no need to be there extra early like they said for pre show fun because the didn't start anything until the time the movie was supposed to begin. The upgraded package doesn't include consesstions like it says, only a bag with water and a small candy and 50cent toys. We didn't find out that the soda and popcorn was extra until after we ordered it. They let people be disruptive by letting baby's cry, people popping what had to be balloons, and others making weird noise that were not a part of the interactive experience, baby's and toddlers allowed to run around and make noises. They clearly were running it off a computer no problem but showing us the DVD menu was in pour taste, the audio was unbalanced. There was no handicap seats(no sure how they got away with that). No cup holders pour video quality. The list goes on and on, if your looking for a fun night out don't bother. If your looking for a place to drop off your middle schooler you have found the perfect babysitter. What an absolute treasure for the city of Rexburg. This place is amazing. I'm a big fan of Art Deco, and assumed what I was seeing was all original. Then I learned that the city and some incredibly generous volunteers rebuilt the place several years ago--including something like 700 hours alone to re-gild the gold and silver leaf. Talk about a labor of love. The facility is a gem. Thank you to all who preserve it. My goodness, where can I start? The Romance Theater and the staff of the theater are amazing. We have done 3 events with them and they keep getting better and better! They have helped out with the JTM music fest a few months back, and with all their hard work and dedication to help out, it was a huge success! We love them dearly, and cannot wait to work with them...
