Stopped by Don Peter’s and picked up some Prime Tasajo, costillitas marinadas, some beautiful pork butts and two Prime Briskets. The Tasajo was well marinated and some of the most tender beef I’ve ever had. The costillitas had good flavor and weren’t overly fatty. The pork butts had really good marbling and just the right size for a long, low and slow cook. Don Peters Carniceria is a place you have got to check out. Everything I have purchased is fresh and full of flavor. They have it all from marinated chicken, prime cuts of Asada and Wagyu. As a bonus they are right off the 210 fwy and very easy to get to. The staff is always very friendly and I can never get out of there with out a conversation..
