Matteson Blu Apartments — Local services in Rich Township

I WISH I COULD LEAVE 0 stars This place is not worth the rent they charge at all, and honestly should be shut down. when I moved in I was shown one apartment then on my move in day was shown a different apartment and said I had to take that one I did it because I had no other choice. The building is infested with roaches they crawl all throughout the hallways and in the apts I don’t even have company because it is embarrassing, no one has cleaned the hallways since I moved in and I know because the same trash has been on the floors and same stains have been on the walls since I moved in. Every other apt complex I’ve lived in there is security patrolling the lots at night not here people do all type of stuff over here at night my car has been broken into some one has been killed and there is constantly crack heads living in the emthy apartments and in the hallways I’ve called the police several times. There is no laundry room in the units the hallways are very old and outdated and when I moved in the person who showed me the apartment assured me that the hallways would be painted and updated before the end of the year still hasn’t been done. I put in work orders back in the summer time they still have yet to be completed, no one is ever at the office and don’t answer the phone . I’m currently trying to find a new place to live I don’t care about breaking this lease I will happily see them in court...

I stopped by these apartments just to quickly get some information while out for an afternoon walk. I explained that to the lady sitting at the desk that I’m interested in seeing a two bedroom unit. She replies and said I needed to schedule an appointment and they don’t have a 2br available until next week. I replied that I’m not looking to immediately move I just really wanted to see a model. Then she says well this office is a 2br. So I’m like ok can I just take a peek at the rooms her response was “Not Really” you need an appointment. I was outdone…she didn’t have a line of folks waiting, she was not on a phone call, she didn’t tend to another employee. There was NOBODY in there with her so what would the harm be in me glancing at the back rooms and walking out. After that I said Thank you and proceeded to walk out the door. It was then that she got out of her seat to attempt to be professional but she’d already pissed me off so at that point I continued thank her for her time but I was no longer interested. First impressions are lasting impressions.

This place doesn’t deserve one star but it is the lowest I can give them. When I applied they told me I was approved. I gave them a deposit for an apartment. Then just denied me after all my paperwork came back good. I requested my deposit back begin told they just went under new management. Weeks past and I still have not received my deposit back.
