Our experience with Parker was a little rocky I'm not gonna lie. We have been looking for a new couch and a new fridge for a little bit and we went to park home in Altoona and the guy there told us that we could get approved for a loan which was cool. We ended up applying for a loan after he told us that it would be about 150 a month which was affordable after we did the loan and use our credit check. It was over $900 would be paying a month, which is not affordable at all. But I also like to us about a lot of other things which I won't get into so we ended up telling him we're good we're not gonna go with the Altoona store and we're not looking for a Couch anymore. After that we did go to the johnst Town location where we talk to a representative named Doug. He was probably one of the best sales associates I've ever worked with! He did not rushed to the door to greet us, which was a huge relief. He did walk over and let us know his name. Let us know that he'll be at the front if we need anything. We were there for about an hour, and he walked over asking if he could get us water or soda or something to drink. After about an hour and a half of being there, we walked up to the front and we are looking for a coffee table. I made a joke, saying I need a wheelchair like I'm feeling lightheaded, and he said hold on. I got you and brings out a wheelchair from the back of his desk 😂. Park home in Johnstown is definitely the place to go. We just got the couch and today and the guy that we saw Altoona store apparently never canceled our order so they had another order for us which we sat back to the store. After we told her multiple times that we did not want that couch that and we do not want to go with the Altoona store, he still put in an order for us. That is the Altoona store. Read moreI am extremely dissatisfied your Johnstown store.I purchased a couch, love seat, and recliner with the expectation of receiving everything within a reasonable timeframe. However, the delivery process was incredibly frustrating. Firstly, despite paying the full amount upfront in cash, I only received the couch and recliner after 14 days. The love seat, for unknown reasons, took an additional 10 days to arrive, leaving our living room incomplete for a significant period. Secondly, upon receiving the furniture, we discovered that the recliner did not fit comfortably within the designated space in our room. We promptly returned to the store with the intention of returning the recliner. Disappointingly, the store staff displayed a rude and unhelpful demeanor. They informed us that there was a "no return policy" in place, which we were never informed about at the time of purchase. There was also no mention of this policy on the bill of sale. This lack of transparency and the inflexibility of the staff left us feeling frustrated and stuck with an unwanted piece of furniture. We were forced to take the recliner back home, despite it being unsuitable for our needs. Overall, my experience at your Johnstown store was deeply disappointing. The extended wait times, lack of communication regarding return policies, and the staff's rudeness have left a negative impression. Read moreUpdate as of 1/8/2024-Park Home is making good on the pillow issue. They are reportedly on order and will be available as soon as produced. They have been more responsive to calls. I am guardedly optimistic that this will be completely resolved.
I ordered 2 couches, one for a family member and one for my home. The family member's showed up on time and delivery went smoothly. Ours arrived on time, but the delivery process was a mess. No one answered calls or called back, zero communication, just bad customer service. Once the couch arrived it was nice, but the pillows that we ordered were not delivered. We contacted the store and they ordered some replacements. It's been about a month and still no pillows. We called to check on them and were told now that the couch pieces we purchased didn't include pillows? This is a full size sectional, over 10' long, and it didn't come with pillows? And, they helped us pick out the pillows at time of purchase? Ridiculous that we even have to ask for them in the first place, but now to have to put up with this drama just emphasizes that I would never purchase furniture from this...
