I go to the Johnstown Plante Fitness when not travelling with work. I cross the United States as a Professional Elite Combat Sports Photographer, photoing with WWE, Showtime, PBC and ESPN Sports, I also photo MMA, Belator and UFC. Being a photographer for these types of sports (I also do Foorball Baseball and Hocky) it is extremely important to keep in shape. Your dress attire, deminar and apperance reflects on the companys you work and photo for. When working at ringside on sidelines you mist be fit and agile and capable of moveing fast. I was dignosed with Multiple sclerosis 24 years ago through medication and keeping fit one would never no my issues. Ballance, muscle control (being in a dress and heals for boxing and wrestling, standing 14 feet in the air on the side of a cage on what looks like and is the size of a homeplate platform let's add 20 ft above cage and ring on a catwalk), fitness is not only important, its a must. Now I must emphasize the Johnstown staff is amazing, other states the service is not so good. You need to acknowledge the employees at the Johnstown Galleria establishment, they are phenomenal. Excersice is very important with muscle disease I encourage any one who has any condition related to muscle loss, please speak to your doctor and then go to your local Planet Fitness and speak out with the knowledgable staff. 1998 I could barely walk. With my new medication and the dedicated staff I am back to not only my passion in...
Read moreWhen Planet Fitness first opened they were suppose to be a non commitment gym which I thought maybe I was wrong. The membership went from 20.00 a month to 21.99 now. Will this keep go up often? The last time I was there the tanning beds were dirty and floors wasn't clean. i had to clean them off before I can use them, which took away from my time to put my lotion on etc. The place is too small to be honest I have been to a few clubs and their space was bigger. Service is good but feel these contracts make it hard for people who need to cancel due to getting laid off etc they still make you pay to cancel. This to me has to change. There should be an exception. I mean if someone can't go due to medical issues or getting laid off they got no way to cancel without paying? I think the pay as you go would work for your establishment. If you want to set apart from the other gyms. Plus I signed up for training for beginners and the trainer can't be found or he's super late. Just a suggestion. I appreciate you answering but don;t you think if a person is laid off the need to keep their money for bills and food.? Not gym memberships. Plus the prices are going up slowly. Before we know it we'll be spending...
Read moreThis location closes at 7 on the weekends, (which sucks) I was there at 6:50 to use the 9 minute standup, the time on the bed was 6:58 when they shut it off... Really... You couldn't let me finish my time... I thought Planet fitness is supposed to be open 24/7 but since its not at this location, then why should you have to pay the full price of a membership of a gym you can't use for its full benefits like being open 24/7. One more thing, I'm pretty sure I can say with confidence, the tanning beds/rooms at this location DO NOT get cleaned, I'm talking about by the employee's, like the floors swept and mopped in the rooms, the beds swept out or however else they would have to clean them to get all the disgusting hairs, dirt and fuzz out of them, its really gross to look at. Its also really gross when your bare feet are on the floor and you get other people's hair, dirt and fuzz stuck to the bottom of your feet. I was reading other peoples reviews about how clean this place is, well they must not use the tanning beds. PLEASE CLEAN THE...
