I’ve had primanti bro’s many of times at plenty different locations and I never once was disappointed in anything from there. Well up and until 2 weeks ago that is... I went the one afternoon around lunch time with my father to the location in Johnstown since I haven’t ever been to it before just to see what it was like n see if it was really any different. Not to mention the night before a friend of mine was really hyping this place up about their pizza and wings .... well my dad and I got there and we ordered ourselves a beer to get started and an appetizer of the honey Buffalo wings recommended by kaylee our waitress whom of which was truly excellent with taking care of my dad and I. When it comes to beer my dad and myself aren’t any slouches let’s just say... I got the 22oz glass (I believe that’s the correct measurement) of bud light I took 1 sip and even my dad saw my face when I was shocked that the beer was warmer than pee. I told my dad I was forcing myself to just drink it till I absolutely couldn’t take it anymore and even my fathers Miller life draft was warmer than pee.... so i spoke to our waitress and she had to keep bringing my dad a fresh new frosted mug that kinda helped and I had to ask for a glass of ice with my beer to dump into it. Which when I spoke of that to my friend that hyped the restaurant up it apparently is a well known factor to just order the bottled beer instead from this location ... but then another friend of mine also told me that he tried that once and ended up with a skunked beer. Then our actual food came and I got the pittsburger which I was actually excited about since I’ve had it before but it had been a while ....I started tearing into it .... and my mouth was so dry from the sand which that I then would have to wash it down with my pee warm beer with ice cubes in it. Well I finished that beer as fast as possible while the ice was still cold and tried the blue moon next.... it was just as bad as the first beer if not worse which also required more ice cubes. I had a few more bites of my sandwich left n it wasn’t till my dad and I looked at it and realized the patty was only a dried piece of Salisbury steak that could’ve been from one of those TV dinner meals and thrown in the microwave for all I know and had the BBQ sauce wiped off of it..(which truly if that’s the case I wish you wouldn’t of wiped it off of it) and for whatever reason management was no where to be found or they were just clueless that people are having to order ice with their beer and frosted mugs each time just to withstand drinking it on a 90 degree day. Unless they were somewhere in the hord of waitresses and cooks just standing at the entrance of the kitchen goofing off (which trust me I get it people like to have fun at work I do too cause if you can’t have fun then it just makes your 8,12 whatever hours drag on forever) Thankfully our waitress kept up with us and was very tentative and helpful in making the experience not as terrible as it felt. I’m not one to normally care about these things or about feelings and blah blah blah ...but truthfully I just hope something improves because that’s not the primanti bros experience I’m used to and the more I sat and thought about it and the more my buddy tries to convince me to ever go back there I get kind of....aggravated..... It was...
Read moreI sat at the bar and ordered food and a beverage with my husband. A drunk couple and their son were bumping into my husband and the lady was hanging over my husbands seat while there was plenty of room all over the open bar. My husband expressed his dismay and to avoid confrontation I pulled his bar stool closer to Me. The woman and husband started verbally attacking me. I explained to them they were touching him and I just was moving him down, and then I turned around. They kept yelling at me and I ignored. I told the bartender I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave and didn’t want my food anymore. The bartender demanded I leave and pay for the food and drink I didn’t have yet. My husband was nervous and didn’t want issues, so he gave her his card. I scolded him for paying for food and drink we did not get and were being kicked out and that he didn’t stick up for me. The daughter then attacked me from behind saying I was name calling when I was speaking privately to my husband and did not call her any names. The manager proceeded to kick me and my husband out with the bartender and I told her to watch the cameras. That’s when she apologized and refunded me and told me how those other customers were repeat problems. But the trauma remains that I was attacked in your bar, ignores by your bartender when informing her I felt unsafe and your bartender stole our credit card without us eating or drinking and kicking us out when we were victims. It’s unacceptable and an absolute violation. I have never been treated like that in my life and plead you watch the cameras. It’s horrific. That bartender not only scolded me and ignored my concerns but took my husbands credit card and kicked me out without giving us our order..until her manager reviewed the situation, and let us stay and refunded us…. But yet this bartender returned to her job. I will never return and I hope if you read this you don’t. They do not protect their customers.. the bartenders over serve.. getting people wasted and aggressive and attacking their sober customers then they kick out the victims, take their money and do not give them Food or drink. It’s like a...
Read more2 gentlemen arrived before I did. We all ordered take-out and sat down to wait for our food. The kitchen brought out a couple of bags. The girls at the register just glanced at the bags and walked away. They never checked the orders to see if they were ours or not. They stood around and talked among themselves and led people to seating. I was thinking the orders that came out were for someone who called in before we got there. After about 15-20 minutes, I happened to notice someone who came in after we did and was seated got their order. One of the gentlemen went to the register and called one of the girls over and asked about his order. Yes, they were the orders that were sitting there being ignored by the staff. Needless to say, by the time I got home with my food, everything was cold. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager Sean/Shawn (sp?), who apologized; however, one could tell by the tone of his voice he really didn’t care and the apology was like a robot. He took my name and address and said he would send me a gift card as an apology for the poor service. It is 2-3 weeks now, and I am still waiting for the card. At this point, even if I got one, I would just throw it away. They obviously think their jobs are secure and that the customer doesn’t matter because of...
