I stood in line at a register with the light on. After 5 minutes, a girl at another register came over and told me that there is a line and pointed towards a line that now had 3 people in line. When it was my turn, an elderly woman got up from the seat at the shoe section to come to the register. She had 1 shirt in her cart. I would have had no problem letting this woman go in front of me, as I've been taught to respect my elders. The girl at the register told this woman "we have a line over there". I shook my head as the ederly woman walked past and said I can't believe she did that to me. 6 registers, and only 1 employee at the registers. I didn't see any other employees stocking the racks or anything. RIDICULOUS!!!! By the way....this was on a Tuesday afternoon when 55+ is supposed to have an additional 10% off. I've visited Ross years ago and had the overwhelming feeling I walked into a depressing abyss with little merchandise to hold the attention or get excited about, unfortunately it has not gotten better. The associates (or lack there of) have never been helpful or friendly, nor do they engage with the customer coming in or leaving the the store.
