Capitol Vintage — Local services in Richmond

Capitol Vintage might have just become one of my favorite vintage shops in Richmond! I was seriously impressed with how well-curated the collection was. Everything felt thoughtfully selected and totally on point. The prices were super reasonable, which is always a pleasant surprise with vintage, and the quality of the pieces? Gorgeous. I walked away with a few gems, including a stunning red dress I’m obsessed with!

Beyond the clothing (which includes tons of beautiful vintage pieces), they also had a great selection of bolo ties, belt buckles, records, and really cool decor. Basically everything you’d want from a vintage store, all under one roof.

The folks working there were incredibly sweet and welcoming, which just added to the great vibes of the whole place. If you’re into vintage at all, you have to check this place out....

Unique, vintage, curated items that are fairly priced for vintage (won’t find a shirt for less than $30). Unfortunately I was followed around by one of the workers any time I wasn’t in direct eye line. Wasn’t greeted. Ignored even while at the till. Just a pale little shadow stuck to my side. If you care about where and who you give money to then do what you will with this information. Otherwise it’s a good spot. Maybe check with the vendors...

More than just clothing. Store is a well displayed collection of vintage items including art, Knick-knacks, clothings, gifts, hats, etc. Store was not overwhelming with too much “stuff” as so many vintage stores tend to be. Also all the items for sale were genuinely old, no modern plastic junk or crafting nonsense. I look forward to visiting again to...
