Spice of India — Restaurant in Richmond

Don't go by the paid reviews that's posted,hands down this is the worst indian restaurant in NA.We went as a family on a weekday for buffet as there weren't many buffet indian restaurants open on that day.We regret for that a long time and will not try out any new restaurants in near future. Not exaggerating-when we stepped in itself we felt like it's going to be bad-old and dusty furniture and seating.we looked at the buffet less than 3-4 dishes and rice , we were hungry and didn't have patience to find another restaurant with kids so went for it and sat down.Started taking starters which is chicken 65 made with low cost dies and it stained my fingers.Well that's the only thing my kids ate 2 pieces.I went to get rice that was bland so went for lime rice,one spoon in mouth I realized it's old and smelly.No sweets or savory or salads.So we decided will leave,just got a water from fridge.

But hotrific was waiting, Wash room and toilet was adjacent to kitchen and seating area and was just covered with a thick curtain. Stepped into toilet the stinch was horrendous almost puked,can't even compare to public toilets.Didnt allow my family to use the toilet. Went to pay for the food,the guy with beard at counter charged me 65$for this horrendous food-he know kids didn't eat anything but charged same as adult and added price for wate.Hardly spent 10 mts all in there and paid 65$ for this torture. Save yourself from food poisoning or tryout if you dare.Shame on you guys to operate...

We looked for an Indian restaurant and landed after driving a long way. It was surprising that there was no customer during lunch hours. As we looked around a customer said it was a good place so we took a table. The waiter sadly had no clue about the food we ordered. We ordered a chicken biryani, two curries and some rotis. We were 5 of us and the waiter brought only 2 plates. When we asked for more plates, he rudely asked us to take it from the buffet counter. Never have we seen a waiter do like this. The fish in the fish curry wasn’t cooked at all. We called the waiter and he said the fish was well done. He had no clue that this was a fish curry and not a steak. We called the chef and he too wasn’t accepting the fact that the fish wasn’t cooked. He took it back since we did not want it. The meat in the biryani and curries were not fresh. We were totally disappointed that we chose this place for lunch. The bathroom and wash area was smelly. Never will be visit this place or...

There should be an option for 0 rating.. pathetic restaurant, food wise ambience wise and the service wise.. highlights **no one attended for 10 mins We ordered paneer curries and butter naan And finally food came and literally shocked to **see thermocol plates 😳😳😳 **And paneer was just mixed in tomato puree ** he brought all the dishes in a very big plate and left, not even removed that plate from the table **And paneer was mixed in tomoto puri ** and we realized after some time they did not even served any water ** rang the bell and waited for another 5 mins and when asked they cane with some water ** literally there are 2 guys working one inside kitchen n other guy outside ** the ambience its like an abandoned place literally, in that prime area how can someone maintain a restaurant like this pathetic arrogant dumb worst what not…
