I love Point Richmond and Mexican food. And for those reasons I have giving this place 3 shots. Each experience worse than the one before. For starters the food is terrible, I tried a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner - all failed. I even tried their world famous potatoes.... under cooked and very bland, i left them on the plate and powered through a pretty pathetic breakfast burrito - i was pretty hungry and had a long day ahead of me. On another occasion i sampled their flour tortilla nachos, disgusting - i left the pile on the plate and decided to have a beer for lunch. Tonight, I ordered their taco/burrito beef combo. Overcooked, salty, uneatable and overpriced.

What's worse then their food is their service, the last time I braved another visit; we waited 20 minutes just to have our order taken (surprisingly there was just one other table aside from ours), once we got our plates the server did not come around once to ask us if we needed more water, beer or chips. When we were ready to leave I had to yell for the servers attention 3 times before we got our check, and this was 30 minutes after we were done eating. I do not feel bad at all for not leaving a tip - in fact i contemplated on subtracting 20%, but I eventually I left the total and left - never to return unless its under new management. Plenty of other destinations to explore a few steps away. If you are up for Mexican food and find yourself in Point Richmond, there is a taco truck by the Chevron on Cutting - cheaper and way better!

2.5 to 3 stars I want to like this place so badly as it is convenient an close for me to eat there. I have given so many chances to this place and it just always is "not quite there". The staff is obviously untrained and unsupervised. Service is very inconsistent. Food quality varies greatly from one visit to the next. Dishes are mildly spiced and lack bold flavors. Twice I have ordered their "super" burrito. I forget the name they call it. One time, it had meat and lettuce.....chopped iceberg lettuce and meat. Thats it. No salsa, no rice, no beans, no cheese. And I paid for a super burrito. The 2nd time I ordered it, I got beef instead of chicken, though this burrito had all the proper inclusions. The owner obviously is not there enough to really instill that passion and caring for what the customer is experiencing. Don't bother...

Hi Joshopine I read your response. I have no idea if Bre is still employed by you since I saw her working there. I will not go anywhere close to where that thief is. This is why I cant meet you in person nor pop in to leave you my number. Bre stole over $400 from me and trashed my car. When she was homeless I tried to help her out where in which she took my kindness as an opportunity to steal from me. I hear she still doesnt think she did anything wrong. All I can say is I guess one would have to know better to act this way and she obviously does not. I hope this sheds some light on who Bre is and if you dont want to be associated with thieves lose her quickly because its only a matter of time until she steals from you or your customers.
