I’ve been to BBs before and decided to go to them because the lady that normally braids my hair was booked. I called and asked if they had any openings and told them I wanted 6 stitch braids. I was told $100 and to make sure i sent a picture of how I wanted them. I was called back and told that particular style is $120 ok fine I totally understand. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment and when it was time for the shop to open no one was there. I texted to make sure I didn’t misunderstand my appointment time never received a text back. I waited for about 15 more minutes and they finally opened but was asked to wait an additional 10 minutes for them to clean up. I wasn’t in a huge hurry so ok fine. I showed the stylist what I wanted and she began to do my hair. It took 5 hours to get 6 braids done only for my hair to look NOTHING like the photo id show the stylist. I wasn’t too upset so I just dealt with it. When I getting my money out to pay I was told my total was $160! Well that wasn’t what I was told on the phone and the stylist called the owner and she said $160 as well. I expressed to her that I was told the style I showed her was $120 over the phone but now it’s $40 more and my hair just looks like regular cornrow braids. Had I been told $160 initially that was fine but I was told $100 then $120 and that’s what I put aside to pay. How does the price change once I’m in the chair verses days before? ESPECIALLY when my hair looks nothing like what I wanted. I had to go home and basically edit what had been done for me to be halfway satisfied. I still only kept the braids 3 days! $120 gone for nothing! The price wasn’t an issue, if it was I know some young ladies that would have done it for half the price and it be exactly what I wanted, this issue is the sudden price increase. If you are getting a sew-in leave out this is not the place to go. They do not flat iron or style your leave-out/weave and expect you to do it yourself or go to someone else. She told me she does not flat iron AFTER she sewed in my weave. Though she recommended me other people from OTHER places I did not have the funds to have someone else to flat iron it. I paid $165 for the hairstyle and extra $5 fee to pay her through cashapp and I put in a deposit before hand and I only got a refund of $20. I told her more than once that I wanted a leave out and wasn’t told she couldn’t flat iron and finish my hair before paying deposit. I called and asked could they do tree braids . The owner said her shop is the best to do tree braids . I tried the shop since my African person is out to country . She did the front good so I could see to think it was done correct . As you can see in my picture , is a braids in the middle of my head with no hair !!! As of today I had to get this mess taken out so my braids can be redone . She stated I had her nervous when I told her it wasn’t being done right and she told me to trust the process .
