
I had an argument with the receptionist that I am NOT denying I was wrong for. I played my part in the argument and am adult enough to admit that I was severely and irrationally irate. However, that doesnât constitute as a right to breach a verbal contract. The manager, Briana yelled to me on the phone, âNever come to my salon again.â She told me that I am not allowed back to the salon, but I have $100 remaining for my blowout package. I sent emails to the salon about 5 times (because there is no confirmation email when you do it through the site) to explain that since there is still a credit on my account that I am due for a refund. I received an email response with the salons ownerâs signature on the end stating, âno one ever told you you canât use your package.â However, Briana made it very clear that I canât return to the salon. This was a conversation on the phone, so I have no evidence she said this. Even if I felt safe and comfortable returning, the manager of the establishment told me I am not welcome back!! Also, if the manager changed her mind and decided I am allowed to return, I do not trust that they will be gentle or take proper care of my hair. I already paid $125 for a package of 5 blowouts, of which I used 1 blowout. I even said that I am okay with only receiving a $95 refund to match the difference between the package price and regular price of a blowout. Again, I am 100% aware of the irrationality I displayed when arguing with the receptionist. But there was a verbal agreement that I would receive 5 blowouts if I paid $125, and I only used 1 blowout by the time I was DEMANDED to never return. Iâm praying that the owner does the right thing and does address this with me directly so I can recant this horrible review.
Updating my review for the response I got: Your response goes to show you guys are just horrible people. I acknowledged my irrational behavior during the argument, so no need to speak on my mental health unless you have some sort of degree in psychology. I did not and will not apologize for it. However, when your daughter told me âNever come to my salon again,â she made me feel threatened. Obviously you guys wonât admit she said that to me because you want to keep the remaining credit on my account. I refuse to sell my package to anyone because I highly do not recommend this salon. Regardless of the situation at hand I already admitted to my âbaby tantrum.â And clearly you took this as an opportunity to publicly insult me as opposed to rectifying this situation. Goes to show who you are as a person and business owner. Your daughter said to me, âNever come to my salon again.â Again, if she changed her mind I unfortunately still feel unsafe. Also, I didnât say you guys would destroy my hair, but I donât feel as though my hair will be taken care of properly. Also idk who âTinaâ is but she did not return my calls. Lastly, please donât lie about the situation. I didnât throw my baby tantrum because I couldnât get my hair done, I threw my baby tantrum because my colleague curbside purchased her color touch up and no one reached out to me to tell me that you guys werenât selling touch up color for my kind of color (pink color) and I was in high need of a touch up. Anyone else reading this review would realize that your response makes it clear you did not comprehend what I wrote.
ANOTHER UPDATE: She is now recanting her permission to sell my package because I âthreatened her employee.â I said to the employee that if Lisa did not allow me to transfer my credit to the woman who bought the package off of me (my colleague) that Iâd need to pursue legal action because I was given written permission to sell my package. My colleague (whoâs spent ridiculous amounts of money here) already paid me for the package. Lisa is also accusing me of harassment when she called me from her cell phone without me asking her to do so. Sheâs also accusing me of threatening her on text, I said âBlessed and released. I have never used Groupon before and I stumbled upon an amazing offer from you that included a full head of highlights, haircut, Oliplax treatment, wash and blow dry for only $101!! I was skeptical at first but I truly found a gem in your salon. Em was my stylist and she was so cool, extremely nice, professional, and explained every process as she went along. I also received a major hair transformation by asking for a textured bob cut after having long hair for over 30 years- figured after turning 40 last week I would just go for it and I could not be more pleased with the results!! Plus the care package given to me upon leaving was such a nice and thoughtful touch.
You have definitely found a lifetime client in me and I will refer everyone I know looking for a great salon and stylist to Em. Iâm not much of a social media poster but I was so pleased with my results I had to post a picture and within a half hour I got nearly 60 likes and tons of comments and compliments!! Iâm looking forward to my friends, family, and colleagues to seeing my fresh cut and color in person and hear many more positive reviews!!
Before choosing the Lisa Thomas Salon Groupon special I had actually purchased a Groupon at a different salon (J&Co Hair Studio). When i arrived ( after driving nearly 2 hours) the stylist told me she could not perform the services I had purchased (which was very similar full head of highlights, cut, wash, blow dry) even though she confirmed everything THREE times this morning prior to my appointment. To add insult to injury and wasted time- the salon did not refund my Groupon purchase to my debit card and instead refunded it as âGroupon Bucks.â. I called your salon immediately since I was only 20mins away and the receptionist accommodated me and I was able to snag an appt not even 45 mins later.
When I sat in Emâs chair she told me she could absolutely perform the services with no issues at all. Again, Em was amazing and Iâm looking forward to my next appointment with her!! And I truly hope your salon continues your Groupon deals as it was worth every cent and thatâs how I found you!!

And remember to tip based on the original price not the discounted offer!! I am also in the service industry and when a stylist puts so much time and care into their services they more than deserve tips based on what the full price would be!!

   Read moreSo I went here like 5 months ago to touch up my roots and I was blonde already, but my natural hair is brunette. My hair stylist was Stephanie I believe. Ok I was promised the price would be affordable. Ok so, she did foils only on the roots. After that she washed it off and put more bleach all over, I don't know how strong it was but my scalp started burning couple of seconds after it touched my scalp. I complained and she had wash it off. After everything was done. I paid the price like in any other high priced salon. Whatever, I came home and started observing for burns in my scalp I did not see anything but it felt irritated. My hair had white patches here and there. I was unhappy I complained. I sent pictures to their email in the website as the manager directed over the phone. . I was supposed to go back. But I decided not go, since they messed up the first time, nothing good is gonna happen the second time. It's very important to go to someone who knows what they're are doing. I got unlucky with this place. I do not recommend it. I am happy I found a place that took care of the mess this place maid. I saw a girl with nice blonde hair and I asked her where she gets her hair done. She was nice enough to tell me. This place is in hackensack and they charge half the price. And my hair is a lot better. It's called illusions on main street. Her name is Lulu. She saved my life. Literally. She even avoided my scalp with bleach. So it looks like it's the only way to find a good stylist these days. Websites and reviews do not help. I figured I should write this review cos I don't want anyone going through what I went through. I know they wanted to fix it but once you are disappointed there is no way you trust again to the same place.
