It is nice have an add-on to the ridgewood community. As we only have Tori ramen there. When they become available on doordash, i was super excited. However, with a higher price point. I would actually expect a better quality food. Ordered gyoza, truffle shio and spicy miso tonkotsu. Starting off with the gyoza it doesnt seem to have much flavor. And personally I prefer pan fry verses Deep fry. Second, both ramen taste so watery, it missed the umami for a good ramen broth. Like, anyone had a good ramen before, can tell, they did not make their own broth. It lacking that flavor. Just pure truffle smell or the layu spicy oil taste in the soup. Third, traditionally tonkotsu ramen use tonkotsu noodles. But instead, i see tonkotsu noodles inside my truffle ramen. Was that a kitchen mistake or that is the way owner wants it to be? If so, Im kind of curious why they choose to do that? All in all, I definitely had better ramen than this. Will I want to go inside and do a dine in there, maybe not...
Read moreWow I've never been treated so rudely for no purpose whatsoever in my life.
This was one of my favorite spots and I will never go back!
Went here for dinner this evening with a friend, the place was half empty. There are 4 4 top tables in this restaurant. 3 of them are adjacent to the wall with booth seating and the other 2 are in the middle with chairs only. Their chairs are not comfortable so we wanted to sit on one of the booths. Shouldn't be a problem right? Wrong! The girl working was so forceful and rude about the booths only being for parties of 3 or 4. Which doesn't make any sense. ALL THE TABLES HAVE 4 SEATS! Why would it matter where we sat. And again 2\3 of the booths were EMPTY!
Yeah, I walked out, there are 4 other ramen places around the corner and a phenomenal sushi and ramen place 20 minutes away that I'm on my way to.
So congrats 🎉👏🏼👏🏼🎉👏🏼👏🏼🎉👏🏼
I've been to your restaurant about 20 times, and now I will NEVER...
Read moreMy friend and I tried Menya Ramen and went with the Couple Value Set for $50, which comes with three appetizers and two main bowls of ramen—solid deal. Parking was easy and free since the restaurant is in a plaza, so no need to deal with street parking.
I had the spicy miso tonkotsu with tender pork belly, and it was great. My friend went with the spicy kaisen (seafood ramen). Both were pretty spicy, but she said the seafood wasn’t anything special.
The food came out fast and fresh, and the appetizers were a decent size. The karrage squid and shishito peppers were delicious and definitely a must-try. We only had to pack the edamame to-go. Service was decent, and it wasn’t too crowded for a Saturday night. We had to ask for water, but everything else was fine. Overall, a solid experience, and I’d...
