We made reservations for 530pm on a Sunday night and arrived 10 mins early. There were plenty of seats, but we were told to wait bc we were too early. This wouldn’t normally be an issue, but another family walked in 2 mins after us, indicating that they had just called 5 mins earlier. They were immediately seated, while we continued to wait. There was only 1 waitress in the entire restaurant, acting as both waitress and hostess; while the restaurant kept getting busier. It took 15 mins before the waitress came to take our order; and as we ordered, she told us that it might take awhile for entrees to come out (which was odd, given that everyone else around us seemed to be getting their food in a timely manner). We were offered a soda and edamame as a concession- which we initially appreciated.
However, the issue is that after 1hr and 15 mins, our entrees had yet to come out. In the meantime, the family that had been seated before us earlier, had already finished eating and left by then. Besides that family, other parties that arrived after us were also served entrees ahead of us. We had small children in our party, who were getting antsy and complaining of being hungry the more time passed. The restaurant was clearly understaffed bc it was a busy weekend evening, with only 1 waitress acting as both the only waitstaff AND hostess; while also taking phone orders. When we asked the waitress why later parties were being served ahead of us, she didn’t offer any explanations—only that they were sorry. We had seen someone that looked like a manager/owner walking back and forth between the front and back of the house. But as soon as we started complaining, she disappeared and didn’t come out once to explain or apologize. Instead of the manager speaking to us directly, the waitress let us know that the manager comp’ed our $19 appetizer. More than the free app, a simple in-person apology/explanation from management would have sufficed.
We were celebrating a birthday, and it put a damper on the whole mood. The food was just OK. Nothing extraordinary, and definitely not worth the price, given our experience.
Their poor management skills left a bad taste in our mouths; and we won’t ever be...
Read moreIf I am being honest when I walked in the restaurant it looked really pretty and super cute and a lot of people, but as soon as we sat down we haven’t gotten any waiters for like 45 minuts I had to call over them 3 times. When the waitress came she look really annoyed I wish I new her name but I don’t she came with a attitude and said, “what do you want” I was pretty shocked but I tried to ignore that and enjoy. So we finally ordered and it took 1 hour for them to bring the appetizers. There where a lot of people hit it should not take 1 hour to bring miso soup I have been in other places that bring it in 5 minuts I don’t understand what they where doing for such a long time. Overall the food was ok, the serves was trash. So when they brought the food I asked for noodles and the noodles had some fish that was moving I thought I was going crazy but apparently it was the wind lol I could not stop laughing so I asked them to bro g the noodles without the fish moving stuff and they brought plane noodles without anything and the waiters said this is what you asked for but I did not and keep in mind the waiters new English very well. But when I ordered chicken the main part is I found a big blog of hair in my food I did not understand why I could not chew it my whole appetite went away I thought I was going to throw up. After that obviously we did not have to pay Becuase ooo let me tell you I am not going to pay for any of that. We had to leave to a better Japanese place and it was so good it is called Hanami I totally recommend the service is great the food is fresh it’s basically amazing GO...
Read moreDisappointing and Disrespectful Dining reserved table Experience. i wouldn't put even One star. I recently had a truly bizarre and disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving on time with a nearly empty establishment, we were made to wait unnecessarily. The first red flag was the waitress's almost insulting request to pay in cash if possible, otherwise by card. This immediately set a negative tone. Secondly, I brought my family for a birthday celebration, and upon mentioning that my birthday was the following day, I was met with an incredibly rigid response about needing to celebrate on the exact day. While I understand policies, the lack of flexibility and empathy was disheartening. Despite the promising ratings, the food itself was underwhelming. The Naruto dish was the only item with somewhat acceptable shrimp tempura, but the entree was a complete letdown. Furthermore, the atmosphere was rushed and unwelcoming. The staff seemed eager to clear our plates without asking, creating an "eat and get out" environment. For an $88 bill, plus a 15% tip in hopes of improvement, the entire experience was a massive letdown. The waitress, in particular, needs significant training in customer service and basic etiquette. This was an honest review, and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. I hope this feedback helps others make informed decisions and encourages the restaurant to improve their service and customer...
