My names Charlie C and I'm taking the time to write this review because of how well I was treated here. I have a really big outstanding medical copay left from my thyroid cancer surgery. And needed to liquidate about 14oz of sterling silver, priced about 400$ in July 2025 market melt value

And I literally went all over north jersey looking for a coin shop or jewler who wanted to cash out my sterling.

I was on the road from 9am to 5pm, from Hoboken and edgewater nj to ridgewood

Every single coin shop tried to swindle me , especially the ones in Saddlebrook and Fairlawn NJ

I was about to give up but searched ones in ridgewood because I've been in this city before and its really nice. And called Pangea, I remember saying how nice the name was and beautiful. This very nice lady answered and gave me an estimate over the phone. Something the other shops refused to do! I wonder why!

What a gorgeous shop! Mirrors and showcases all over. Spacious. Nice AC on high. Such a lovely place. And her and her helped Joe I believe. Weighed and tested my stuff. And paid me.

I was just about to give up on finding an honest coin. / jewlery shop until I found Pangea.

I'll never go into another shop again, except for this one. Believe me, u need to try them first. I took all this time writing this, in hopes itll save someone who was in my position, the time of looking around and come here first. For grade A honesty and kindness. And not out to steal from their customers like other shops do, especially the other jewlery shop...

First time there the other day: Got an estimate on shortening a complex gold bracelet - for less than HALF of what my now-ex-jeweler offered me (although, my prior jeweler was a middleman). After talking with David and his jeweler for a long time about that bracelet and various other pieces I had with me, I decided to trust them completely and so went ahead and had the jeweler work on all 5 pieces at one time. I was there around 11:30am, and David asked if I wanted everything done TODAY. What jeweler offers that?!! More important: David's jeweler did a fantastic job on all! David gave me a fair price on the resulting scrap gold, which obviously lessened the total cost nicely. Very personable, David gives you all the time you need to ask about everything you want to know. I believe he is knowledgeable, fair, and completely scrupulous - all critical qualities for a great jewelers (and the complete opposite of his Ridgewood rival around the corner). They will even tell you if you don't need something you think you need, saving you money; and one item the jeweler fixed at no charge (small fix, but still !) It was a really good experience all around. I had a bunch of random jewelry and I didn't know what to do with it so I stumbled upon this place based on all the good reviews on Google. The guy who was there patiently looked at everything and explained things to me. I told him that I was looking to sell it and he walked me through his process and showed me the math that he was doing to come up with all of his numbers. He was a very pleasant guy and easy to talk to while we sorted through everything. In the end he paid a fair price And I spent some time looking at all the cool watches he had on my way out the door.
